The year is 1863 as the tumultuous samurai era is coming to an end, Japan is split between the pro-shogunate and anti-shogunate factions. The fate of the world is threatened as an army of historical revisionists are sent from the future to alter the course of history. In order to bring these forces down and protect the real history, two sword warriors, spirits who are swords brought to life by Saniwa (sage), rush to Edo. The polite and thoughtful Horikawa Kunihiro and the short tempered yet skillful Izuminokami Kanesada, who served the same master, confront the invading army along with a lively gang of other warriors including Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Yagen Toushirou, Tombokiri, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga.

As the fate of history lies in these hero's hands, what meets the blade is yet to be uncovered...

20-year-old university student Anri is chased out of her house when her mother has a new boyfriend. While spending every night at different Internet cafes, Anri comes to know about "papakatsu" and subsequently meets a 45-year-old university lecturer Wataru. Anri then moves into the apartment which Wataru rents for her before finding out about a secret which he has been hiding from her.

Natsuko Miyamoto (48), a full-time housewife and mother of two (daughter Hana, 20, and son Kotaro, 17), is shocked when her husband Akira (54) announces that he will quit his job to explore his long-term interests in agriculture. He has a weakness for get rich quick schemes, and has a manic desire and knowledge to have fun and make money. Then one day, Ryo-san receives a tempting proposition...

Around this time, her mother in the country often relied on her earning apricot flowers to run out of money. One day, top therapist Hiromi (Kimi and Ayumi) entered the store from another store. Hiromi, who has a flashy feeling, is told how to treat Kyouka, saying that her nomination will not grow at the new store and there should be some special service to heal customers. In gratitude, she hears Kyouka that there is a way to earn money outside the salon.
