Discuss Star Trek

I thought it would be a fun idea to list moments that for some reason came over untentionally funny. (Objects and costumes can be included.)

What ever it is that makes you laugh , the poster must send "proof ", a photo or a You Tube link.

Shatner's take on this scene when his boby is taken over by an alien is one of my top "TIRAMISU' " moments grinning

Call Cesar Millan..

@ .The dog Whisperer. ?

She's big and not very obedient but she's very sweet and hardly barks. It's not an aggressive breed.

I would flip over if somebody tickles my tummy laughing

@I bet you would Nexus 😋

to thank me , Luna gentle chews my hand and fingers and nibbles my arm.. Not everyone loves that kind of affection but I personally love it.

You don't need a dog for that Sunshine I would do that if you tickle my tummy.Besides is the gentle chewing and nibbling not a sign that she is hungry? laughing

Hungry for attention and affection , in my case☺️

Sorry ,Nexus but I prefer animals over humans ... I have never be comfortable among people , never desired to have a husband or have children ..I have never wanted to touch a baby ..they don't interest me.

I have always felt happy and relaxed with animals and have wanted to share my home with them, specially dogs and cats .

We'll have to get together and talk about how much we love animals more than we like people.

I wanted to send you this post via PM but it looks like this option is not avalailble on this site.

@When I was 15 I saw a tiny caged monkey on sale in a shop called Noah's Ark .. It was a squirrel monkey from the Amazon forest that somehow finished up in an Italian pet shop close to the Alps. ...how crazy is that ? 😐

I convinced my mamma to buy her .She greeted us by biting my mamma when she put her hand in her cage to say hello...it never occurred to us that it was ( still) wild .

We named her Lolita😎

It took us several weeks to win over her trust but in the end our love , care and patience paid off. We went hunting in the warmer months .. Her tiny little fingers were powerful and fast .. Spiders , grasshoppers , meaty candy looking grubs , butterflies (which I caught in my net ),moths and an occasional lizard tail were her main diet.

The best insect exterminator on the market, she kept our serra grub free and our orthesias free of those shiny green beetles ..stag beetles and praying mantises were special treats.

In Winter she ate mealworms and a variety of pricey fruits and vegetables . At night she slept in her cage on an electrical pad with her favourite furry doll licking a sugared almond. (I know not so great for her teeth) She had two different warning calls for birds and snakes ( vipers in our case) and she panicked once seeing a Dalmatian ( she thought it was a jaguar on the hunt).

She was mischief ...she stole my grandma's dentures once and jumped on my aunt's shoulder to investigate her huge nest looking bun but a frown appeared on her face as her hand touched it .. She didn't like the sticky hairspray .

When she felt I had been too bossy with her she use to get her revenge when my mamma came home ..she would go for my earlobe and bite it...harmless but so sore😐

Being the man /male of the house , my papa' was special . Lolita used to wrap her tiny warm, soft body around the side of his face and curl her long pensile tail tightly around his neck and make love squeals ..and her body scented off musk.

She was with us for nearly 11years , she died due to a freak domestic accident ..we cremated her in our homemade garden furnace and kept her tiny bones in an onyx box in front of a statue of Buddha.

....she brought a lot of laugher and love to our family but the truth is that Lolita deserved to live and die in her forest but for profit her jungle is being destroyed and she was captured and sold for money.

You two sound like characters in one of those rather odd Sci-Fi-esque, love stories. I can see the title:

The Nexus of Sunshine. stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

Sorry, No offense. I couldn't resist. grin tong

Hey hey Jet now you are being rude to the lady if it was the 18th century I would have had to challenge you to a musket pistol duel or do some fencing like in Barry Lyndon but since I can't shoot for shit laughing and NakitaAkita from IMDB was the one who was doing the fencing ... laughing But I do have to comment on Sunshine's writing I think you should be a writer of animal stories you have a knack for it (really not joking here I found the story of Lolita quite fun to read). thumbsup_tone3

My apologies for being rude, sunshine.

No harm done , Jet ... taking care of Lolita was hard work ..in the jungle they live in herds up to 200 individuals so she needed constant contact ... That's why at night she slept with a furry doll. She was a very interesting pet ..she missed going out in Winter and she loved to sit in the Christmas tree . She was tiny but she had a big heart.

@Thanks for the kind words , Nexus . I'm happy you enjoyed my short essay ...words flow easy when we are writing about someone we love/loved.

Lolita was a ray of light in our lives ...in Autumn we used to collect boxes of chestnuts and every afternoon we chose a box and spread the nuts on the table and she would go through them and find juicy grubs .

Do you have pets, Nexus?

Did she get other revenge by throwing her poo at you?

You just had to ask that, didn't ya?

@ It was expected...as the scorpion explained to the dying frog : "I could not help myself. It is my nature" grin

I can't speak for other species of monkeys but as far as Lolita (she was a Saimiri , commonly known as a squirrel monkey for obvious reasons), she never touched her escrements...she found them dirty and definitely off limits...

...unlike , I believe toddlers, they "play" with theirs, or dogs...some even continue in dogthood to try and lick/eat their own or other dogs' , or like rabbits that eat their own $hit for the nutrients.

Lolita used to produce 1-2 compact pellets , easy to pick up everyday , unlike those wet droppings parrots or other pet birds' produce , but I don't think their owners loved them less.

When she panicked, like the time she met the Dalmatian , it came out unprocessed something understandable..she was frightened to death.

Does that answer your question, ,Chris?
