I thought it would be a fun idea to list moments that for some reason came over untentionally funny. (Objects and costumes can be included.)
What ever it is that makes you laugh , the poster must send "proof ", a photo or a You Tube link.
Shatner's take on this scene when his boby is taken over by an alien is one of my top "TIRAMISU' " moments

You're a purist Christ you want to go back to the cardboard sets and Christmas lights of the 1960's plus what might have worked on tv in the 60's might not necessarily translate well into the 2000's and movies. But maybe if Tarantino gets at the helm we get all of that back again cos'he seems the kind of guy that would go for that retro-look.

I must have missed something. I thought you were ranking STB up there with ST I, IV, V. Which were the bottom of the barrel.
Humpback...people?

ST I TMP.ST IV TVH and STV TFF are generally considered the movies who were the closest to the original series.Haven't said anything about their quality or popularity among Trek fans.and STIV was actually one of the most profitable Trek movies of all time so hardly the bottom of the barrel .

Profitability not make movie good. Hence, SW Phantom Menace.
I never really saw IV and V as being close to the series. Except IV could have been around the Tribble/Piece of the Action time. Humorous but dumb. (Whales? Gimme a break) Having a grand old time Although Dr. Gillian being braless did keep my attention.
V could have replaced Turnabout Intruder to end the series. (Why doesn't the Enterprise have some kind of special forces to infiltrate an enemy camp instead of having Uhura do a stupid dance to get their attention?) Although, I guess, it does have some similarities to The Enemy Within with regards to how people keep things buried inside themselves. Go Climb a Rock.

The probably do, since NX-01 did (eventually) but in that situation it may not have worked. They didn't want to alert the "rebels" to their presence. So taking the clothes of their "patrol" and then riding in, made sense.

Are you saying that in the Abrams-verse, not only has the Earth/Federation timeline changed, but also:
There is no huge space amoeba.
There is no Nomad.
There is no Doomsday Machine.
There are no Gorn waiting to attack an outpost.
There are no Talosians.
There is no V'ger, for that matter.
The probe isn't headed for Earth to check on the whales.
etc, etc.
Part of my point is that Abrams can maybe "reboot" Kirk etc, but unless we're supposed to believe it's a completely different situation everywhere, not just for Earth/Our Heroes (and what reason should there be for that?) it's nonsense destined to lead to failure.

Unknown but assuming from the information we got from STB those things will play out similar or almost similar to what happened in TOS,as far as the viewers is concerned the Kelvin time would probably play out in the same fashion as the OT only the Kirk /Spock backstory is altered and the timeline of the Vulcans & Vulcan so besides episodes dealing with those subjects most of the events in TOS wouldn't have altered and judging from Scotty's remark about a giant space hand(Who Mourn For Adonais? which is far more related to ST V TFF rather than the previously mentioned Turnabout Intruder seems to imply that most of the episodes happened since STB takes place after TOS in the fourth year of the original mission.

But since Kirk won't have the experiences he gained in the original timeline, from serving with Captain Garrovick etc, and since Original Spock apparently didn't tell them what was coming, I expect failure. And indeed, because of how they were made to be so that ONLY KIRK could stop them, failure on any ONE of those fronts, means Earth/The Federation are doomed. QED.

If you think about the reboot movies like that ,you really must get your knickers in a twist about the TNG movies where most of the characters of the movies(in particular Picard) act opposite to the characters they played in the series.
@ No twisted knickers over TNG, Nexusπ
I have always been passionate hence protective towards TOS ...can't say the same about TNG ... I just didn't care much about the main cast .
So when Picard went full Rambo mode in "First Contact "I just laughed my head off.
In the series ,I found Picard too dull and stale sitting crossed legged sipping his cup of Earl Grey.(how unexciting just like him..a drop of bourbon would have made all the difference )π
Ricker seemed to have a rod always up his a$$ .
Data's face looked like one from Madame Trussaud's wax museum. That little" life form "song of his was cringeworthy..
Troi was always sensing the obvious ... When in red alert she would say ..I sense danger.π³ She had hair to die for but as the season went so did her glossy , thick hair.
Worf was just too ugly with the rocky forehead but I did follow with interest the storyline about his son , Alexander (?)
Geordi ...well...you couldn't even see his face .
What I did like about TNG was Q . He had a great sense of humour which Picard rarely appreciated . I loved it when he thru a few French words in . It was just fun to watch de Lancie ..he stole every scene he was in ...good looking too.
Vash was interesting ..can't imagine what she saw in a stick in the mud like Picard .
The episode with Lal was heartbreaking ...idem when Picard lived another life on another planet ...the flute he played became a memento .
From the movies I found the Borg queen a good villain and Shinzon and Picard's personal drama caught my attention..Tom Hardy has made a name for himself since ..he's compelling to watch in Taboo.
I must find time to see STB a second time .. I wasn't paying much attention the first time.

Of course there's blah blah blah! And bonk bonk, too. Miri and the others are still waiting to be rescued/saved, when Kirk gets command way too early. (She was, if you remember, something over 200 years old.) They just don't pose an existential threat to Earth/the Federation, so any old starship could be sent to deal with them. Miri wouldn't get to have a crush on Kirk, but that's not essential.
And Original Spock should have told Dr Korby to bring some long underwear on his expedition to Exo III. Unless he deliberately didn't, so that he (his younger self) could still have Nurse/Dr Chapel to himself...

And Jahn, who still hadn't reached puberty, would he still have sideburns?
