Hello,
There is something planned for traking the new diffusion of One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga, until Egghead will return in 2025 spring ?
Thx

Should the new recut go in Specials? Or... a new season? Or maybe a new show entirely? What's the protocol for this lol

Nothing
It is going to be deleted. As indicated, TMDB doesn't support alternate version.

If that possible, then you must also delete "Dragon Ball Z KAI"! That an equivalent example.

The Bible say : "We generally do not support series re-edits. However, we made a exception for the following series: Dragon Ball Z Kai and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096. If you believe a re-edit deserves an exception, please run it by us first. If you don't, it will most likely be deleted."
I invite you to plead the case.
But, in my personal opinion, the 2 cases are not similar. "Dragon Ball Z Kai" was a re-edit of a complete series. Here, this is just a re-edit of one story arc.
Every creation of the series done before a decision has been taken by the team will be deleted.

Note:
I think that we have to watch "One Piece Log" and also "The One Piece" - how many arcs will be implemented under these titles in the future - With "The One Piece" only the "East Blue Saga" has been announced with the option of further arcs.

"The One Piece" is not the same like "Ranma 1/2" and won't completely remake the show "One Piece".

The One Piece is a new show, it's a new adaptation. All new episodes, animation, music, etc etc etc. It's a brand new show entirely. But Once Piece Log is a weird case because it's still "One Piece (1999)" but a special edit version of one saga.

This is a remake (aka a new series) like it, not a reuse of the old data. (If it will cover all the original story is not the purpose of my answer).

That I know, but my opinion is that I don't know what bring future on these shows - partially or not and more.

I mean, does the future of a show really matter here? Like if One Piece live action only got one season, it still would deserve a database entry. The One Piece is Wit's new adaptation of the One Piece manga, just like Toei's adaptation, and Netflix's.

Mhh, ? "The One Piece" are the production committee "Shueisha/Fuji TV/Toei Animation" with the animation production WIT studio and the first publication on Netflix. The web-page to that project is one-piece.com for all manga chapter/manga volumes and anime projects.

If a new season and separate series listing are not approved avenues to deal with this remake, but it's still under the One Piece (1999) series umbrella then surely "Specials" is the perfect place for it. Leaving it entirely in limbo is very annoying as a user, especially when there appears to be an exceptionally easy and obvious way to deal with it.
While not an apples to apples scenario it feels like the same logic could be applied to summaries, which are, in effect, just recreations/remakes of existing content within a series.
Hopefully this can be resolved in some way aside from leaving it entirely off the map.
