If you create, reply or edit a discussion or comment, you will now see a toolbar that should help use some of the rich text tools. Better yet, it's got a preview button so you can check to see what it will look like before hitting submit.

Looks very pretty!
Preview works like a charm too.
I know some people would really like it if /text on a new line would also mean that happens in the post, but hey, can't have everything right away, haha!

Thanks, Travis, for all you do!
I have an easy question: When we edit any of our past posts that have already had one or more comment added to them by anyone, do the past responders in the thread receive new notification like there's been a new post added? (I personally hope not, as usually when I'm editing a past post it's just for general tweaking purposes, so the post will read better and be clearer for whomever newly reads it going forward. Sometimes, too, I'm just adjusting the Subject line, or deleting some sentences that I decide I no longer care for.)

When you edit? No. Only on the creation of a new comment does anyone get notified.

This was a nice surprise! Thank, you.
Can I make a suggestion? Can you separate the Edit and Delete options out of the gear icon or at least give more space between them? They are very close together.

Any chance the emoticons can be added too? A tool to access them. I know you can press : to access them but newcomers to the site won't know that.

Until then, they can always ask, or click the ? button. For most (text)smiley's you need a colon anyway, so they find out eventually.

Same here, I'm more an emoticons type of guy and have to guess most of the time when it comes to emojis.
Nice work Travis, keep them coming!

Thank You!
Here's something that can be improved:
When we click the quote button, it inserts "> quote here" on the same line. That doesn't work unless it's a new line. So maybe it would be better to have the button to insert "> quote here" onto the next line instead of having the user go back to ">" and press "enter".
