As a relative newcomer to an Oregon town that bears his name, Dr. Mumford seems charming and skillful to his neighbors and patients. His unique, frank approach to psychotherapy soon attracts patients away from the two therapists already working in the area. Together with an attorney (Martin Short) whom Mumford had rejected as a patient because of his narcissism, the rival therapists conspire to find skeletons in Mumford's closet, hoping to destroy his reputation. Mumford & Sons - Live at Lollapalooza 2016

When Mumford & Sons walked on Bonnaroo’s second-biggest stage, the audience spilled into every square inch of the surrounding area. And they paid back the crowd’s excitement in full, particularly with an eight-minute closing rendition of “Amazing Grace”.

Reading Festival will never be jollier than in the back-to-back blast of ‘I Will Wait’ and ‘Little Lion Man’, two songs that encapsulate the most loved and loathed sides of Mumford & Sons. Impassioned banjo-led brodowns are easy to diss on record. When it’s here, in the company of thousands, it’s impossible to resist. Ted Dwane - up there with Este Haim in the bass-face stakes (double bass-face?) - is having the time of his life, and it’s almost like third album ‘Wilder Mind’ never happened. Things are brought back down to earth with a thud. Nothing tops Mumfords’ most-loved in their Friday night headline set in terms of sentiment or enthusiasm - this time round, the banjos win.

Over the past year or so [2009], the directorial duo FRED&NICK have accompanied Mumford & Sons on their various tours to capture through a lens the experiences of the band on the road. You may well have seen these videos before, but perhaps not yet in their full length form. Part I delves a little further into the roots and beginnings of the band and how, through various instruments, shared music tastes, friendships, and circumstances, Mumford & Sons came into being. Whilst Part II takes us through the landscapes and contrasting musical spheres of the India and US tours…and also the fondly remembered/vaguely infamous ‘Tasche tour.

Maria Bamford is back and subjectively better than ever! Weakness is her brand, so get ready to feel much better about yourself.
