While discussing the sixth film in the franchise, "Mission: Impossible — Fallout," at CinemaCon on Wednesday, Cruise detailed one of the film's action sequences, in which Cruise's Ethan Hunt jumps from a plane at nearly 30,000 feet to catch Henry Cavill's free-falling character.
To get the three shots that he and director Christopher McQuarrie (who returns after directing "Mission Impossible — Rogue Nation") wanted, Cruise jumped out of a C-17 plane 106 times.

An odd note was just shared with the White House press pool by an anonymous official, which seems to be opposite in tone from what we just heard from the president’s doctors...
... A source familiar with the President's health says on background: "The President's vitals over last 24 hours were very concerning and the next 48 hours will be critical in terms of his care. We are still not on a clear path to a full recovery."
To be clear for people who don’t know how this works: the source spoke to the press pool on condition of anonymity. Those reporters know the identity of this person. The reporters made a judgement that the person is reliable and passed comment along to the wider WH press corps.
The White House lied? I thought gay hags are the only ones spreading fake news.

Trump’s crazy arse made politics interesting. The train wreck he created is THE reality show to follow online. I don’t want to follow it because it’s awful. People died and are dying because of that fool. But I just can’t stop following it. Yesterday, he left the hospital for a drive-past. He endangered the Secret Service staff inside the car, because it’s hermetically sealed against chemical attack, said Dr James Philips from the same hospital where he's being treated.
I also rolled my eyes when I heard he got COVID-19. I’m surprised the son of dog didn’t get it sooner with all those rallies. I guess his old, obese arse has a better chance of surviving now. The novel virus isn’t so novel anymore. Doctors know a little more about it now. They know which drugs to use to treat some symptoms. And most importantly, they can treat you with antibodies.
Yeah, right. The WH probably forced that doctor to release that statement.

It looks like the lesser evil has won. Both Biden and Trump are disgusting old pervs to me. But at least 237K people didn’t die of COVID-19 because of Biden.
So I was wrong. The Keeping Up With Baby Trump reality show isn’t coming to end any time soon. He’s yelling FRAUD and suing everybody. This is hilarious. Things like people who don’t exist voted, dead people voted and ballots could have arrived from Mars are just a few of the crap that people who lost, got caught or made a mess say to feel better.
Trump made a huge mess and got caught lying many times. So he’s just another big old man with no balls engaging in childish games. Unfortunately for ball-less baby Trump, the Democrat voters do exist, are alive and they’re from Earth.
Anyway, the Democrats shouldn’t celebrate yet, though. Trump thinks that the Supreme Court can make him the winner. He could win if the Supreme Court has the power to say that the counting should have stopped x days ago.

Biden should step down (a month after being president) and let Kamala Harris be president. He’s making the Democrats look bad, because they’re the supporters of #metoo and #timesup. But in this article you can read about the women who have spoken out against Biden.
Metoo is about believing women when they tell their stories. Timesup is about stopping men in power from getting away after doing something bad. Joe Biden assault claim: What does 'believe women' mean now?
The debate over what it means to "believe women" - the rallying cry of the #MeToo movement - has escalated in recent weeks [2018] over a sexual assault allegation lodged against Joe Biden.
The accusation by a former staff assistant, Tara Reade, raises uncomfortable questions for Democratic voters who previously said women's complaints should be listened to and treated as credible.
The expression "believe women" - and its sister phrase: "believe survivors" - rose to prominence in tandem with the #MeToo movement […]
"The reason that became a mantra was because interwoven so deeply in our culture was the idea that women and survivors were lying," said Fatima Goss Graves, president of the National Women's Law Center. Their concerns were deemed "so inherently suspect they were not worthy of being treated seriously".
Less than a year later [2018] the phrase gained momentum when, in the midst of his confirmation to the US Supreme Court, Justice Brett Kavanaugh was accused of sexual assault by Christine Blasey Ford when the two were in high school [1982]. MeToo movement founder Tarana Burke led a national walkout in solidarity of Blasey Ford three days before her testimony, with participants using the hashtag #BelieveSurvivors.
It became a refrain among high-profile supporters of Blasey Ford and a number of high-profile Democrats pushing for further investigation of her claims, including Joe Biden.
Biden 2018 statement: “For a woman to come forward in the glaring light of focus, nationally, you've got to start off with the presumption that at least the essence of what she's talking about is real” [“whether or not she forgets facts, whether or not it’s been made worse or better over time. But nobody fails to understand that this is like jumping into a cauldron”].

Now, facing allegations of his own, Biden has been heavily criticised for an apparent about-face.
"'Believe survivors' never meant that was the beginning and the end of the inquiry," Goss Graves said. "What it means is that you take it seriously."
To some, the definition of "believe women" has expanded and contracted to suit the political needs of the moment. Reade's claims invited a rush of appraisals of high-profile Democrats - especially women - weighing their response to Biden against past comments directed at Brett Kavanaugh.
"It's difficult for survivors to see that a woman who has more corroborating sources than most survivors have in similar situations is being tossed aside and actively being weaponised by cynical political actors," said Shaunna Thomas, a founder of women's rights advocacy group UltraViolet, of Reade to the New York Times.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Senator Amy Klobuchar and Stacey Abrams - all high-profile Democrats, all reportedly short-listed as Biden's running mate - were asked if they would still support the former vice-president.
Abrams, like the other Democratic women asked to speak up for Biden, was charged with a political two-step: appearing to champion Blasey Ford while abandoning Reade.
"Why are many people still refusing to believe Reade?" wrote Kate Manne in The Nation. "Among the primary reasons... sheer political inconvenience."
For anyone who wants Trump out of office in November, "admitting the credibility of Reade's claims at this moment is painful and inconvenient indeed", Manne said.
Still, the burden of defending Biden will surely fall to his vice-presidential pick, who he has pledged will be a woman - adding a stumbling block to the coveted job offer.

"How can you support this person who's going against the standards you set for somebody else? At the end of the day, this is what voters are left with," said Amy Walter, national editor of the Cook Political Report on NBC News. "How they battle this cognitive dissonance. And usually partisanship is what breaks the tie."
It's an uncomfortable calculation for Democrats, for whom support for Biden is not so much an endorsement of their candidate and as it is a guard against Trump's re-election.
"We cannot have Trump in office a day longer than his current term," said Clara Masters, a political organiser in upstate New York […] "My only option is to vote for Biden."
