TC’s jet experienced a "flap caution" mid-air.

It's interesting ... Tom flew the chopper by himself in "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" but apparently even the great stunt actor has his limits. The other guy suited up is the actual F-18 pilot Tom flew with from a base in northern California.

He apparently serves as Tom's double based on how the jet's equipped -- the back of the fighter jet (where we're told Tom was sitting) is mounted with cameras facing Tom's POV. If ya didn't know ... Tom's now a flight instructor who mentors Goose's grown son.

As for how the guys ended up in Nevada ... we're told the jet experienced a "flap caution" (think check engine light) mid-air. It made an unscheduled landing in Nevada and the duo jumped on another plane headed for Cali.

The Wrap reports that Academy Award nominee Rosie Perez (Fearless) has signed on for the role of Renee Montoya in DC Films’ upcoming Birds of Prey movie

Montoya is one of the leading characters in the Birds of Prey movie; however, it’s unclear if Montoya will be the vigilante known as The Question. In the comics, Montoya is an openly gay police detective at the Gotham City Police Department who was once in a relationship with Batwoman.

A Suicide Squad sequel to be directed by Gavin O’Connor is also in active development, but Glenn Ficarra and John Requa’s Harley Quinn Vs The Joker romance movie and David Ayer’s Gotham City Sirens now appear to be on the backburner.

James Gunn has been hired by Warner Bros and DC to write with an eye to direct the next installment of the Suicide Squad franchise. It’s the first job he’s taken since he parted ways with Disney, which let him go from the lucrative Guardians of the Galaxy franchise in July in the wake of old controversial tweets that had been compiled by alt-right journalists and sent to Disney.

Since Gunn is adding his own spin to Suicide Squad, don’t be surprised if he finds room for Dave Bautista, who played the brawny deadpan Drax in the first two films. Bautista has been especially outraged in statements of support for Gunn.

Why is WB taking this risk? Why keep hiring MCEU people? The GOTG films were nothing special. I think the GOTG films were successful, because people were tired of the well-known heroes and wanted something else. They want unknown heroes, heroines, anti-heroes and villains on the screen now.

Anyway, I’ll believe SS 2 is being made when they start shooting the film. Remember, Flash keeps changing director. Batgirl also lost her director (JW) and is now up in the air with MOS 2, BM, GL and Flash.

WB’s desperate to hire MCEU people. They're the only ones who know how to make comic book films. But they should take a good look at The Predator. It has the widest release in the franchise, but it aint making a lot of money. Could be because the writer/director is friends with a hebephile or ephebophile.

SS 2 may have a completely new cast.

Recently, the news of James Gunn confirmed to be writing and possibly directing Suicide Squad 2 has largely received a mixed response with one of the reasons mainly being the recent firing of the director from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise for his controversial tweets.

A large part of the fanbase has been furious as the project has hit a reset button and seem to have scrapped the script that was co-written by Todd Stashwick along with David Bar Katz and Gavin O’ Connor.  Now, a recent listings report coming from Production Weekly seemingly confirms the project has gotten a clean slate and is just under ‘Development’.

The good news is the listings reveal that DCEU’s veteran Zack Snyder will be on the producer team along with Geoff Johns.

It is rumored that James Gunn won’t be moving towards writing a sequel. But rather have a “whole new take on it”. It is unclear if this would lead to a “total recasting”. Fans are already questioning if Gunn’s history with Jared Leto could lead to the exclusion of his character The Joker.

Suicide Squad 2 still does not have a release date assigned yet.

Joaquin Phoenix Joker film extras locked in subway car, forced to pee on tracks – report

Extras from the set of the new Joaquin Phoenix film Joker have filed a complaint with the Screen Actors' Guild after spending hours locked in a subway car and being forced to pee on the tracks.

The group claim they spent more than three hours locked in the car despite requests for union-mandated breaks, TMZ reports.

The Screen Actors Guild was told about the break violation and a representative was sent to the set to resolve the situation.

Warner Brothers, the studio making the movie, told TMZ it's investigating the incident.

Warner Bros. is pushing back the start of filming on the studio’s still untitled standalone Flash film, sources tell Variety. The film never received a formal greenlight nor did it have a set release date, but it had been expected to begin shooting in March. However, a script is still being tweaked and the studio thinks that it won’t have enough time to get the script in shape in order for the film to make its original start date.

Jason Momoa has already pitched his plan for Aquaman 2 to Warner Bros

In this month’s TotalFilm, Jason Momoa explained that the film sets up plenty of storylines that could feed into a sequel — and he’s already pitched his ideas to the WB bigwigs.
