The search is being crappy but yeah - whats up with the show getting deleted? See https://www.hulu.com/press/show/into-the-dark-2/?temp=synopses & https://www.hulu.com/into-the-dark

We follow the original network and Hulu released all the "episodes" as individual movies!

you are creating a huge mess with this, tmdb does not need to reinvent the wheel, this is clearly a TV show.

Then why does their site show it is a series?? https://www.hulu.com/into-the-dark

You clearly need to allow these to be added as a series if you follow what the network itself is saying!

also listed in imdb as series and not as stand alone movies https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8427140

even hulu name it a series "Into the Dark is a horror series of 12 super-sized episodes" https://www.hulu.com/into-the-dark

Another series version got deleted. Can y'all at least provide more of a description on why we're choosing to label these as movies? I really don't see much of a case for it.

Still wanting to know why these are movies. Your reasoning is off as Hulu itself says Show not movies!!

Nothing was changed. They're still listed as movies... https://www.themoviedb.org/company/68884/movie

I really don't get the confusion here. This is an anthology series, the same as Black Mirror, The Twilight Zone or Amazing Stories, regardless of where it appears on HULU's website. They are producing an anthology series, calling it as such. Just because they decide to milk it by also marketing them as standalone TV-movies on their site doesn't mean it's not a TV show. The fact that it's produced by the television arm of Blumhouse and that the creator, IMDB and HULU themselves call it an anthology series should make this moot. Or every Black Mirror episode should be a standalone movie too. Sorry for reopening, I just don't understand the current classification.

fwiw I also still think this should be a series... it's just one instance of content not fitting into their platform design.

maybe allow both, like https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/3470-masters-of-horror & all the standalones? https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/299438-jenifer/discuss/5af9a07992514139b9009574 thinking
There are also IMAX "episode" movies on here which are also identical content but clearly not the correct format... (https://www.imax.com/content/game-thrones%C2%AE-imax%C2%AE-screenings-rescheduled-one-week-later-accommodate-unprecedented-fan (only talking episodes here))
