About 5 minutes ago I was thinking "Maria, why isn't a thread about which version of Mission Impossible was better: The 1966 series or the 1988 reboot?"
So, I'm going to ask my fellow Honorary IMF Agents for your opinions on this subject. The rules are: there are no rules! (I've always wanted to write that ).
Lima-2, Jahyn1111, wonder2wonder, Klondike 6, and anyone else who reads this, inquiring minds (okay, maybe just me) want to know! Please share your thoughts about this!

I thought it was solid and I enjoyed it for the most part. But it's obviously not in the same league as the originals as far as quality and cast.

Well, we all know my opinion on this subject, so I'm going to wait until everyone else writes until I mention it again.

I doubt you'll find anybody that would pick the '88 one though

@Jayhn1111 :🕵️ Thank you! The thing that annoyed me the most about that show was that all of the guest actors had Australian accents. Even the ones who were supposed to be playing Americans!

Ohh. I will post my thoughts on the episodes as I watch them. But I still have season 6 and 7 to watch. I've been slacking a little bit watching other shows. But I'll get to it soon enough

How is your recovery going?

So-so. I'm doing Physical Therapy, and I'm probably going to start using a cane instead of a walker within a week. My hip still hurts a lot, but today is pick up the pain meds day (yahoo!). Thank you for asking.

@lima-2: 😎 Thanks for your kind words. As a matter of fact, I'm going to start using the cane today after all, instead of next week. And I have got to stop feeling sorry for myself. There are so many people around the world that have worst problems, but unlike me, they don't have health insurance.
As for the reboot, there was an episode that I liked called Cargo Cult. BUT, my choice for the worst episode of the reboot is the last one, The Sands Of Seth.
I'm starting to get sleepy, so I'll get back to you on the first MI movie issue question.

Oh I'm sorry about the pain you're in. I hope the meds do the trick. But it sounds like the road to recovery is happening though right?

@Jayhn1111 :🕵️ I'm hanging in there. I really appreciate everyone's concern. It's helping a lot. The happy (pain) pills help. The last time I saw my doctor he told me that there was a 60/40 chance that the surgical screws will take care of the fracture, but if I still have pain in a few months, I may have to get a partial hip replacement.
But whenever I start feeling sorry for myself, I think about all of the people around the world who have health problems but no insurance. For instance, I've been reading a lot about the situation in Venezuela. Those people there have literally nothing. Inflation has gone up to 1 million percent. So I shouldn't be complaining about anything.

I mildly enjoyed the reboot (except for the computer synthesized theme), but I'll take the original. Why don't any of the retro networks run it? They show Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Kojak, Ironside, MacMillan & Wife, etc. Why not MI?

METV was running it, but I haven't watched any kind of TV since 2013.

My METV affiliate has a habit of blocking shows in favor of useless talkshows and infomercials, so I never saw them run MI.

Well, they were showing it at 2:00am on the METV station I watched, but the last time I watched was a long time ago.
