That's the point.
And a guy like me who wants to see the description, ratings, pics and all the other information in Kodi - you know Kodi? - is happy.
I totally understand that there must be rules, strict rules to organize such a data base, but it must be user friendly on the "consumer" side as well as on the administrative side.
The link you posted above is the right place for such a discussion? Haven't opend it so far
By the way, often on weekends the Support forum is quite or very quiet and there are few new posts or responses. So in the event you don't get any, or many, responses there over the weekend, think nothing of it.
I know that TiVo purchased TMDb from Travis (the site creator/founder) the other year, though it's otherwise I guess you would say a private-led site. (Travis continues to be in charge and to run the site and make all the major, as well as the everyday, decisions.)

Big advantage is - in my eyes - one can add an episode and it is sorted correctly by air date what ever season/year it belongs to.

Indeed. Especially effective since you know all the broadcast dates. The air dates establish the chronology.

So thanks a lot for your help and understanding, I'm really curious about the mods/admins opinion on that.

It was all my pleasure. By the way, I see you joined TMDb last month. In case no one's ever said it to you yet, welcome to TMDb!

No problem, made my experiences here and in other boards. Btw, is this a professional or a privat led site? Didn't found any information about that.

Here's a recent thread that possibly better answers what you're wondering about: https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/5c4f34c1c3a36805cc826e67

Wow, very interesting and lot of responsability for Travis. I know TiVo for a long time. Thanks for the link.
