In this new DC Universe superhero television series, Brec Bassinger will play high school teenager Courtney Whitmore, who uses the Cosmic Staff from the original Starman to become DC's Stargirl.
I've seen her on other television shows like "Bella and the Bulldogs (2015-2016)" (Bella Dawson) and "School of Rock (2016-2018)" (Kale).
Now, in costume she certainly looks the part.
Let's hope that this "Stargirl (2020-)" will have a lighter tone and not be as gloomy and dramatic as so many of the other superhero shows.

I just watched the Pilot, I liked it a lot. Luke Wilson is in it, so that alone brings it up in quality. And not surprisingly, Joel McHale made a pretty funny Starman. Plus it has great special fx, which compensated with its current lack of action. Can't wait to see how better this shapes up in the future.

Yes, the first episode looks promising. Brec Bassinger and Luke Wilson made a good impression. Let's hope the show continues to be fun to watch and it has the right mix of (teen/family) drama and superhero/villain action.

They're not related (at least I couldn't find a relation). Brec Bassinger and Kim Basinger's last names aren't even spelled the same. Also Kim is from Georgia and Brec is from Texas.
