I only just found out about this show tonight and so I watched it. From the commercials, I was expecting something between L.A. Law and Law & Order (understandable since the show is by the same creators as L&O I think). But that's not what I got. I think my issue with the show is the lead Prosecutor. How am I supposed to really get into a show when the main character is so absolutely unlikable? He comes across as such a jerk and it was hard for me to keep watching. When you have more sympathy for the defendant on trial, than the main character, that's a problem. I notice from coming here that this show has been on since January. If anyone else who watches this show comes here, can you please tell me if the prosecutor has always been like this?

This was part of a 3 show crossover. So, hard to judge it based on that. It's regular season starts on Sunday the 5th.
I am still watching the first episode, but it isn't quite grabbing me either.

I'm not too sure about it either the first episode was interesting because of the connection to Fire/PD and Al's Daughter but I don't know if it has enough to offer on its own.

Yeah, I cant watch Chicago Med either. None of those characters are likeable. I am about to watch Chicago Justice, but I am not holding my breathe. I do want to like it because Antonio is in it.

well, im willing to bet you are going to like this characters only. only reason you will see this is to know how the "story" ends on the week´s arc.

My Mom loves Med, so I watch it. But the doctors seem incompetent, and not in the fun way. I watch it for the Chicago Fire cameos and a couple of the minor characters.

I rally like Med despite the unlikable characters, but then again I am a sucker for hospital dramas (have been ever since E.R.) back in the day.

I still watch Med even though I do not like many of the characters... And YES, Code Black is the show to watch for the hospital drama you want. :) Being in the medical field, I always look for (then criticize way too much) any new Medical drama that comes to TV. Oh.. and, I am trying Chicago Justice because I watch the other Chicago show, it's okay...so we will see how long it lasts.

OK, I've still got it on the record setting for my DVR, but I'm still not sure about it. It's OK, I guess, but certainly nothing like the original L&O which I just adored and still watch the '91 through '04 episodes (I just can't stomach anything beyond Briscoe. I didn't mind Farina and I loved Green, but for me, Briscoe was it, and I originally tried watching through the two guys who were partners after that HORRIBLE woman detective (why they cast that woman is beyond me. She was OK as the stripper in that episode where the defense attorney put a hit on his wife, but her as a detective and regular was just a really bad move).
Anyway, so far, I only really enjoyed the episode with Robinette which took me a minute to realize that yes, it was really him, lol. And my favorite scene from that episode was with the captain and Stone discussing Robinette and the captain asking Stone if Robinette is really a good enough lawyer to get the case to be accepted and not dismissed, and I was nodding my head vigorously and that was when they received the word that yes, the case was on, lol.
But outside of that, it's kind of been hit or miss, and even once it's recorded to my DVR it takes me DAYS to go watch it. Which is not normal for me. Right now though, my absolute favorite show is Feud: Bette and Joan. I'm just RIVETED to the screen when I watch that.
Anyway, I think this show has potential, but I think there needs to be some serious character revision to make it better. I mean, outside of Stone, I have absolutely no idea what the names of the other characters are.
And the episodes are very hit or miss as well. The one with the judge being shot and killed was one of those. A miss for me.

well they seem to be going in that direction with this weeks revelation of Laura's Drug/Custody troubles.

Yeah, and her back story is interesting.
Possible Spoilers Ahead:
I think this show is improving. I enjoyed Sunday night's episode very much. It was very well done, though I was furious at the end. That judge reminds me of the one from L&O in the murder case against the corporation who refused to make the necessary modification to their rifle to fully prevent it from becoming a full automatic. And I fully agree with Stone that the law needs to change to understand that emotional/psychological abuse is every bit as debilitating to the victim as physical abuse, and in some ways can be worse. The physical bruises/broken bones eventually heal. Psychological scars rarely do. And when someone psychologically beats another person down until that person literally has no self-worth, that most definitely can cause the victim to commit suicide, or even if they don't, become so depressed that they see no point in trying at anything. They just exist. They wake up, they go through a day with absolutely no joy, they go to sleep, and it starts all over again the next day. And though they may not commit suicide, it is very likely always there in the background of their thoughts. So yeah, the laws really need to change.

they still haven't gone deeper into any of the characters and seem to be going with the "case of the week" scenario.
