Discuss Chicago Justice

I only just found out about this show tonight and so I watched it. From the commercials, I was expecting something between L.A. Law and Law & Order (understandable since the show is by the same creators as L&O I think). But that's not what I got. I think my issue with the show is the lead Prosecutor. How am I supposed to really get into a show when the main character is so absolutely unlikable? He comes across as such a jerk and it was hard for me to keep watching. When you have more sympathy for the defendant on trial, than the main character, that's a problem. I notice from coming here that this show has been on since January. If anyone else who watches this show comes here, can you please tell me if the prosecutor has always been like this?

I agree, I watched the first 2 episodes and just couldn't get past what an ass he was. I have the same issue with 'Chicago P.D.', why would TPTB create a show around one of the worst characters that appeared on 'Chicago Fire'?

I also watch 'Code Black' but all the press seems to think it will not be renewed.

I agree... I hate Hank on Chicago P.D., but I love Jay Halstead. Then Chicago Med spins off with Halstead's brother who is a horrible actor. I just keep watching for the characters I like and it almost hurts sometimes. LOL

I certainly hope Code Black comes back !!

they still haven't gone deeper into any of the characters and seem to be going with the "case of the week" scenario.

As opposed to what other option? I understand they need to do better backgrounds on the characters, but seriously, it's a law show about cases, so what other option is there other than a "case of the week?" In the future they might have a case or two which become continued into the next week, but shows like this are going to complete a case per week.
