It's Secret Hideout propaganda plus it confirms what we have been saying all along Picard and Discovery are not the success CBS had hoped it would be otherwise why is Frakes making these comments?

No it's not true what he is saying and even when it was true what he is saying then why would he be making these comments at all? The only reason the article mentions this is because they are obviously disappointed by the number of viewers both shows are getting .At this point Kurtzman and Co will do anything to make it look like he is in control and everything is honky dorry while most of the some what reliable established media have reported about the financial woes of Viacom/CBS and CBS All Access .And even from Viacom/CBS itself comes confirmation that both CBS All Access and new Trek have failed otherwise they wouldn't have announced that CBS All Access in it's current form will seize to exist and that it will become part of a much larger streaming service.That is of course if Viacom/CBS manages to overcome it's current financial crisis where their debt after borrowing 2 bilion more last april stands now at 20 bilion + while financial analists now value Viacom/CBS at 10 bilion(Cetainly after the nosedive the stocks made in February /March) .Also various financial media sources have been reporting about rumors of Netflix taking over Viacom/CBS wholesale or certain segments over the last month or so.

Also Frakes and the people affiliated to Secret Hideout go into this discussion with the false assumption that Trek fans want to hate Star Trek because it is a thing that Trek fans always do which is nothing further from the truth.Many Trek fans were willing to give Picard some kudos because of Patrick Stewart and were wiling to give it a chance despite being skeptical about Secret Hideout's involvement.And many up to episode 4-5 were giving it a chance despite the irksome dialogues wooden acting ,convoluted unoriginal(that's another word for stealing content from other souces)story and plot and the obvious mansplaining.Many viewed Picard as a possibilty for CBS to redeem itself from the debacle that was STD but instead Secret Hideout and CBS spat in the faces of fans again by doing the same shit as they did with STD.Also it doens't help if your company relies for a large portion on the money of these same fans who have invested in your property for sometimes 50 years or more by again calling them toxic ,racist,cellar dwelling etc in articles or admitting that you deliberately put stuff into your show to piss off fans(by Chabon's own admittion).Look if Viacom/CBS wants to survive after the current crisis it has to learn that it has to cater to these loyal paying customers in stead of chasing them away by appealing to an non-existent new and younger crowd because if that is their master plan they are going to find out sooner rather than later that that is an unrealistic financial scenario.What the Star Wars franchise(or at least Disney) has learned that subverting fan expectation and ignoring established canon is not a way to run a financial viable franchise certainly after the current crisis when the studios will need every dollar they can get and that they have to cater to the fans in stead of alienating them.Viacom/CBS obviously didn't get that memo yet.

And that both STP and STD have failed (at least abroad) despite having no actual numbers can be verified not only by these articles in the mainstream media but also on the sites of Netflix and Amazon neither shows are in their top 50 of most watched shows in fact the only Trek show that appears in these top 50's is TNG on Netflix .

That both CBS All Access and new Star Trek are financial failures is not a rumor anymore Invidia it is a FACT!!! Viacom/CBS has officially announced that CBS All Access in it's current form is not financial viable that is why they are going to assimilate it's programming into a new streaming services that offers more content.And since the financial success of All Access heavily relied on the new Trek shows(since Star Trek is the flagship franchise of CBS)drawing in subscribers and now it seems that CBS All Accesss isn't viable one can deduce that Trek isn't bringing in the number of subscribers they had hoped for ergo Trek and CBS All Access are failures period.And like I said sure all of the Trek shows had to deal with skeptical fans every time it launched a new show but the discussions about the shows never became as toxic as they are now and why is that? Well CBS wil claim it is the fault of fandom while in actual fact they themselves are largely to blame for the schism among Trekkers they started this whole thing by calling critics of the new shows all kinds of isms. when most of the criticism was directed at the script writing and the whole issues of canon (which CBS also caused themselves by claiming one thing and doing the other)not whether a character was black ,green,yellow,gay trans or whatever.The whole problem started when Kurtzman and Co. started to use politics as ameans to fend off viable criticism and labeling those who dared to criticise a show as racists ,misogynist or toxic.And since you are not intersted what goes on in Hollywood in general one wouldn't have noticed that ALL studios are using a similar tactic to excuse themselves for producing crappy,hollow,uninspired content.Exactly the same thing happened to the Star Wars,Dr. Who.Terminator,Charlie's Angels,Ghostbusters Oceans and from what it looks like now the Marvel franchises so NO I'M NOT PARANOID OR SOME CONSPIRACY THEORIST these are all are verifiable facts.

So the only reason for Frakes bringing up the initial skeptisism for TNG is a tale that Secret Hideout and CBS have been using over the past six months to cover up for their own incompetence because TNG eventually went on to become the franchise's most popular show they now are claiming that because of the criticism of STD and STP they eventually will become equally successfull because fans always complain about doing new stuff which isn't the whole point of the criticism most are having .Frakes wants to make it look like fans will always hate things initially which they will eventually love and that there are similarities between the reception of TNG and STD and STP which is NOT TRUE sure many of us took some getting use to TNG when it first aired and took some time to warm up to the show but most of the fans still stuck with it despite it 's mediocre season 1 and significantly better season 2 .Why? because despite the changes between TOS and TNG ,TNG still felt like part of the same universe as TOS and the writers and producers of TNG did everything possible to respect what had been build up before and continued to build upon what had been established before.STP and STD on the other hand do everytrhing in their power to ignore dismiss or piss all over established canon when it serves their purpose while still using things from that same canon for fan service and to draw in costumers into the show by giving the illusion it is part of what was established before .Secret Hideout and CBS are cherry picking whether to use canon or not and when longtime fans criticise them for it they are insulted .Sorry but I don't know in what World you are living in but in any kind of bussiness such behaviour would not be tollerated and it will result is longtime customers turning their backs on such bussinesses and the same thing applies to the entertainment industry.And it's about time that CBS and Secret Hideout get that memmo.What the producers of TNG didn't do back when TNG aired for the first two seasons was reacting,lecturing and insulting the fans in the media which they are currently doing because that doesn't aid their cause.

Shatner despite being older looks much younger and healthier.Don't know what he is taking but it looks like Shatner looks younger every year.

These masks are pointless, masks in general are pointless in the current crisis only masks with any kind of HEPA filter are effective.These type masks will get moist (because the water vapour in our breath) and when these get moist micro-orgaisms can easily migrate from one side to the other.But hey the false illusion of safety is more important I guess.
