* * * FYI: SPOILERS FOLLOW * * *

I've not seen much of this series (here's its Season 1 trailer), but have watched all of Season 1's 8th episode, plus (weeks ago) roughly one-quarter of that season's 1st episode. Unfortunately, at the time I watched that premiere episode, I decided I didn't feel like following a foreign-language series that requires continuous reading of subtitles (that change quite briskly anytime there's a lot of talking going on), therefore abandoned it. Now, after having decided last night to watch Ep. 8 (one of my PBS stations is airing one episode each Sat. night), and soon becoming hooked, I regret missing out on what all transpired before.

Has anyone reading this seen and followed this series? If so, how do/did you like it?

I must say that, at present, I don't really much understand the story, other than that the psychopath guy is going around killing people as, apparently, part of his master plan. For some reason it appears he targets, in part, homosexuals, though I don't know why. (I'll need to check online for brief summaries of the episodes prior to the one I saw, in hopes of getting somewhat up to speed.) I gather that his motivation for revenge or whatever has something to do with his dead wife and child. Beyond that, 'tis a mystery. That's okay though, as I was interested in last night's Episode 8 despite feeling pretty lost. At times, events were quite horrifying.

In the coming weeks, I look forward to whatever (if any) continuing episodes my PBS station may air.

Follow-up note: According to various things I've just now read after posting the paragraphs above, Ep. 8 that I watched was the Season 1 finale. So that's it for that particular story. Hopefully my PBS station will air Season 2 during the coming weeks or months.

Althow we are now 3.5 years later I still answer, because just now I did stream the series in our local TV sender. In episode 8 of the first season everything is explained, and in order not to spoil anything for anyone I won't tell you. Even if I wanted I couldn't because unfortunately, they switched the episode of at midnight tonight and me, watching right in the middle did rewind once for 10 seconds at which time they cut me of for good, so I am stuck shortly before the end without knowing the solution - HAHAHA. All I can say is that I like this series and intend to continue with season 2 also.

Having watched both seasons now, I can say that it is better than the IMDB reviews make it out to be.

There usually is a difference between ratings, which for this series are constant throughout the episodes, and reviews, which for Modus are often complaining about season two.

This might have been due to the fact that the series probably seems to have been designed as a one-season show so season two had its new theme (just as the series 24 for example had.

However, I did not find season two any less intriguing than season one, only different. Season 1 focussing on an evil serial killer whilst season two was a polit-thriller. Both having had in common a side-them of gender-marginalized people. Overall it was worth watching it.

In a nutshell, themes are #thriller, #asperga/autism #serialKiller, #trans, #lesbians, #secretService #sexualAssault
