They don't use the season description "series 3" at all! And they do split the episodes into 4 parts exactly as we do right now:

I think we should keep it like that - it's correct! But I'll keep this report open for other moderators to share their opinion!

News have landed on the BBC site : https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0260ych/episodes/guide
They are calling the 2020 season that has just started as "Series 4". So, "Nepal Tour" and "Nigeria, Belize and Bangladesh Tours" can only be 2 parts of the same Season 3.
