The previous content report attests to subsequent physical media containing a 25th episode. The aforementioned links to the show's streaming platforms and the global finale broadcast authenticate this as well. In this case, either a name change or an added episode is required to indicate its existence.

As indicated, we follow the original broadcast, which comprise one normal episode (the episode 23) and one double length episode (the episode 24). The way the episodes have been split later has nothing to do with our listing.

Concerning the rules you have quoted:

• The double episodes rules doesn't apply, as each of the 2 episodes has officially a single title : "Exodus Part 1" and "Exodus Part 2"
• Following the multi-part episodes rules, these 2 episodes are named here "Exodus (1)" and "Exodus (2)"

Episode 23 has no relevance as it is the first of the three part series, neither of the episodes in question and did not air on the same day as the finale. 24 and 25 were originally broadcast as a double episode finale hence the length, which has been evidenced in the provided sources with explicit reference to "Exodus Part 3".

Citing said rules:

1. If two episodes originally air as one, a slash can be use to separate the two episodes titles: Title One / Title Two.

This applies to this situation verbatim. As written, there is no legitimate reason either of the rules wouldn't apply.

It is relevant for the numbering of the parts.

25 ("Exodus Part 3") didn't exist at the time of the original broadcast by ABC. 24 was one single double-length episode. There are no mention of a "Part 3" in the ABC archives, neither here, nor here.

It has only been split in 2 at a later date for future broadcast. But, the main rule on our site is to follow the original broadcast.

This rule is applied to the foreign translations where this episode has been first broadcasted in split form, like the German or French languages, for example. But, this has nothing to do with this report as we are talking of the English language (as indicated at the top of this report).

We already established that Episode 23 is Part 1, referring back to that is redundant. Those sources you've provided are solely in reference to the American broadcasting .

Streaming, physical media and future broadcasts in the United States all adhered to the 24 and 25 numbering at a later time - that's understood. What your sources do not address is how the finale was internationally broadcast by ABC Network outside of that country.

Your response to the first rule is to repeat status quo, when the updated media and international broadcasting are what make this a point of contention. Beyond that, we can clearly see that everywhere this season is available or discussed those last three episodes are referred to as Exodus 1, 2 and 3. Your insistence that this was originally aired as a "single double-length episode" only lends more credence to the rule being applicable since the finale has been predominantly acknowledged as two separate episodes.

As for your reasoning toward the second rule, it's conjecture given that the rule itself bears no mention of language - only format and how episodes were broadcast outside of the domestic country. There is also no disclaimer insinuating this rule is only applicable under those circumstances. Furthermore, TMDB automatically populates and specifies language when a report is made so I don't see the merit in mentioning that.

Our main rule to list the episodes is "Episodes should be added exactly as they first aired on the original network (title, date, order, season). "

This is a United States series originally broadcasted by ABC. Consequently, it should be listed the way it was originally broadcasted by ABC.

The way the series was streamed, physically released or broadcasted later has no impact on our listing.

The way the series is released internationnally has also no impact on our listing.

The rules you have quoted above only apply to the naming of the episodes.

All of that is besides the point because outside of the U.S., the finale was originally broadcast with a bifurcated title as a double episode (24 & 25). The rules very explicitly indicate that this does have an impact on TMDB listing, otherwise it would not be written in such plain detail. Since the rules I quoted do apply to the naming of the episodes, then it stands that the final one should be renamed to include "Exodus Part 3".

It should be named to include "Part 3" only in the languages were the original broadcast did include a "Part 3", like for example, the French or German language.

But it shouldn't be the case in the languages were the original broadcast did not include a "Part 3" like the English language.

The rule has been clarified.

Unless there's a foreign language section for this Lost season - it seems like this is the consolidated page that serves for all broadcasts, domestic and abroad.

In that case, either I can update the language on the report request and the change can be made.

Or, you can edit the name on the 24th English language episode to include "Exodus (3)" as it is ubiquitously known and mandated by the cited rules.

You just have to indicate here the language you are talking about and include a proof that the original broadcast in that language did include a Part 3.

For the English language, there is nothing to update as there was no part 3 in that language at the time of the original broadcast.

The sources for the foreign broadcasts have already been provided in the previous replies. Also, please direct me to the section or metadata where this information would be changed.

This is a per language data. So, you need to provide the language in which the modification should be done, as well as proof that there was a third part in the original broadcast in that language. Without that information, no changes will be done.

I still have not been directed to where TMDB language data can be publicly viewed. I also don't see that a "proof" was provided for the initial nomenclature, nor is this stipulated in the contribution bible.

Per the consolidated nature of TMDB and your own interpretation of the cited rules - the episode name must either be updated to include "Exodus (3)" or a 25th episode must be added.

We don't know when this page was written. It was first archived only at the end of 2018. We need a proof from the time of the original 2005 broadcast. For example, an archive of this page or a similar page, or a TV schedule from a Portuguese newspaper of that time mentionning the parts.

The English original broadcast is the United States broadcast. Consequently, the way it was broadcasted in the United Kingdom has no impact on our listing.
