We only rename series when the title change happens during the original release on the original network. For example, the new seasons of Scrotal Recall were released as Lovesick after Netflix picked up the series. But Netflix using a new title for a long-ended ended series like Top Boy does not impact the original data.

The guidelines are similar for movies. We use the title of the first release and add all the new titles as alternative titles.
