The aliens who abducted them were on the same planet.

Some of them were, or at least the descendants of some of the ship's crew. But they were setting up a new colony on that planet, the original home world of the aliens was elsewhere. That's who I meant.

I think you are missing the point of the episode since it was the opposite of what you are suggesting ,which is to free ourselves of primal responses such as revenge or vengeance and that we can't blame the children for their (grand)parent's mistakes or wrong doings.

Fine, but they could at least make sure those aliens aren't still doing the same thing to others!
