Discuss Prison Break

I watched and am not sure, yet, what I think. I wasn't at all wowed, but definitely liked all the parts with Sara. Those parts were really good and felt believable.

Anyone else here who watched, are you feeling onboard, or not so much?

I'll decide next week, after watching the second episode, whether or not to follow the new series.

I watched it last night and I had a few problems with it too. It felt so rushed and already quite far fetched right off the top. I mean really.......it's just that easy to fly to a middle eastern country and just walk in to one of the worst prisons while there is a civil war going on and just automatically get to visit a prisoner? No real explanation how T-Bag got out of Fox River after only being back there for seven years after all the murders he committed other than to hear him say he was a model prisoner?? I realize this reboot is only nine episodes long but it already feels way too rushed. I'm hoping there will be some good action and better explanations as we go along. Regardless, I will watch all nine episodes as I am a big Prison Break fan (although I wasn't nearly as invested in seasons three and four..........thought the first two seasons were great!). Here's to hoping it gets much better! wink

Yes: Quite frankly, very little of what transpired in last night's debut episode seemed to either make much sense or was given a plausible enough explanation. It was like "anything goes," where newly introduced situations and details were concerned. I watched the full episode, and was interested and entertained at times, but didn't truly understand much about anything, or find many things credible, as situations and facts seemed to just be coming completely out of thin air.

I was like you, that, regarding the original series, I was totally onboard throughout seasons one and two, but fizzled in seasons three and four. As I recall, by season four I was only just sometimes watching, as I'd most of the way lost interest by then.

I really enjoyed the premiere big league, I think some of the questions, specifically with TBag will be explained. I have a feeling Micheal have been working alot behind the scenes for the last 7 years. IAnd am I the only one who realized that when Micheal saw that he was being filmed, he knew he didnt have to say anything because once they examine the tattoos via video up close, you the gang will start to see a plan somewhere in there to break him out. Or details on the real big boss is of the season.

I'm confused about something regarding T-Bag: Following the surgery, he sounded like he was saying something had been implanted in his soul by the surgeon, and that he didn't like it. I don't know if I misheard what he and the doctor were saying during that part, or if I heard right but just didn't "get" what he (T-Bag) was talking about.

Yep: I definitely agree that Michael, in the Yemen prison, knew he didn't need to say or do anything - just needed to hold his hands against the bars, so that the tattoos on his palms could do the talking for him.

yes I did not get what T-bag was talking about either. But who do you think paid for the surgery?

It's going to be interesting to see how T-Bag fits into the main plot.

Given the fact he's now 'free' you might think he'd not give a damn about Michael and not want to help him and not have any involvement in the main story. That would mean he'd have no reason to be in the show. The writers may have to come up with a contrived reason to keep him in season five. T-Bag doesn't seem the type of person out to help others.

I enjoyed the new episode. It's all far fetched but that's part of the show's appeal.

I got a kick out of when T-Bag, after being newly released from prison and going to his new lodgings, opened the laptop to the dating site and the ugly woman's picture popped up, and he gave it a sickened disdainful look and shut the laptop. All those years in prison, and the man's being choosy! lol

PS: In the original series, am I recalling correctly that he was gay? That's what I think I remember, though may be entirely mistaken.

T-Bag is an animal, he'd have sex with anything male or female as long as they are pretty enough. In season 2 he has sex with a woman, and in season 1 flashbacks, he had a relationship with Ms Hollander.
