Ray was wrong when he told his dad that you can't turn paper into a pdf. All you have to do is scan the pages. So simple.

I am enjoying this season so far. I'm not thrilled that they killed off Abby, but the way they are showing what happened is almost riveting. It's nice to see Ray and Abby happy and close. The interview after the show with Liev about them was good.

Ray is one cold ass motherfucker. Mickey is a freaking saint compared to Ray.

Maybe Ray's hatred for Mickey is because he can't stand to have a reminder of himself around without having to look into the mirror.

The Horses episode shows just how fucked up Ray is and that he will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

That was so fucked up what he did to that guy who was chosen for the trial treatment.

Ray is always trying to control everything...only to fail in such a tragic way regarding Abby and that other patient.

I love the Abby character. The woman playing her is spot on and does a great job.

I really can't imagine the show without that character. It will be interesting to see what direction the show and the family goes without Abby.

Haha, I said the same thing. I guess Ray isn't an IT guy. You could even convert it to editable text. Surely they could have dedicated ten or fifteen minutes on file formats and fonts. 'Course they'd have to be drinking Jameson's and beating the scanner with a baseball bat every now and then.

Abby was always loud, rude, and difficult. Now we have to watch a ton of flashbacks that show them happy together her being cool instead. It's a "triumph" of television. Thank God Ray Donovan turned into a Lifetime movie. I liked Abby for what she was, not this ret-conned version of her designed to play on our emotions.

In general, this season sucks. Its half over and there is no reason to care about the Sarandon aspect of the show. Same applies to Terry's new wife, the boxer kid, Bridget entirely, and Bunchy's oops-my-millions joke story. At first, Micky's Four Leaf story was interesting but even it is starting to flounder. Even less than these is the Connor thread. Half a green light on that one. Also feel like I have ZERO interest nor connection to the actress. Ray was f**ked for doing her in the first place. I almost forgot to complain about her which is how unengaging she is. They even got rid of one of my favorite characters: Avi.

Feels like they changed show runners. I used to love this show. I'm sure people think that the show is "tackling a tough and human theme" this season and I get that but I feel like they are doing a ham-fisted job of it in a show unsuited for it. And it is crowding out the room for proper embellishment of the rest of the stories. Perhaps that is a blessing in disguise.

I'm still in, of course. I'd like to see how Four Leaf pans out. Other than that, I couldn't care less about Bunchy and the rest dealing with how stupid they are.

I used to love and really enjoy this show too, but now I have to agree with you.

The worst of it all is what they did with Avi- a beat up beat down drug addict- seriously ? I miss Ray's super bad as sness- he just seems like a file/box retriever and a babysitter now. And Bunchy just can't get any stupider-he is way dumber now than he was ever was.

I agree with the displeasure of getting rid of Avi and the whole drug addicted persona. That is so far removed from the Avi we all knew and loved. With the FBI guy gone, maybe they can bring Avi back.

I'm glad Connor is gone. Never liked the little shit. Bridget grains on my nerves. I feel sorry for Bunchy, but yes...he is an idiot. I'm glad the actress is dead. She brought nothing substantial to the story in my opinion.

I'm waiting to see where the Daryll and Mickey, Terry, Ray storyline takes us. However, I am disappointed in Ray because right now I just see him as being a real asshole.

Yes, mine too and I hate the way she always acts like she just hates Ray so much. I cannot believe she told that sick guy what Ray did-even though Ray was beyond seriously dead wrong - WHY even tell him what Ray did? Just the thought of knowing that info will probably make him feel sicker and die quicker.

I agree that Ray is a grade A P.o.S. this season. What are they doing to him? I haven't done the research but I wonder if there is a new batch or writers or show runner. His continuous sleeping with the actress that he had laid instead of comforting his dying wife is more reason to make me SMH. Did you notice how they gave Ray two scenes in which he trades significant looks with gay men this last episode? Even a double take when he was in The Fist.

I get it that they didn't know what to do with Abby anymore but this depressing slog through her last days is a misstep IMO. As scorp said, she should have just left Ray for a few seasons. Maybe even get into some hard-boiled trouble of her own. What's next? A season of Micky sh**ing himself in bed while losing his mind to dementia?

I liked Terry telling off his young protege's father. That was satisfying. I wish we were getting more of the Terry story. His marriage and split from new wife seemed to be for no reason at all. What a huge waste of time. It easily could have not happened at all.

You would think that Bridget would have matured by now. But she still behaves like a child. An ungrateful, idiot child. Her motivations are that certain type of selfish that wears the guise of caring about someone else. Like Bunchy, I want to like her but she just stays unsavory.

I agree with nubyan, Connor could fly off the face of the Earth for all I care. His character just gets worse. They should have made him the one wise member of the family that grew up into the guy that becomes the fixer within their family.

The Four Leaf story line is all that is left that I care about this season. I predict that Daryl will be forced to kill the actor in cold blood to save Micky. No more innocent Daryl (which is sad)

You meant he, right? When speaking of Bunchy. I don't see Bunchy as unsavory. Just stupid. But I still like him.

You nailed it regarding Bridget. Even when she was banging her teacher, who turned out to be banging every other female student...she really didn't care about him. She just wanted to bang a grown man. In the end, they both were being used by each other.

You are correct, that was the same guy on the Hollywood boardwalk that Ray gave the money to that was in the club being as s banged. I wonder if their recurrent paths crossing will mean anything, like will Ray end up helping him/ hiring him? Yes Ray has Marilyn Monroe's painting in his apartment that he often stares at .

She is too stupid to realize that she was actually hurting sick guy more than she was trying to hurt Ray...and another thing- what is the point of sick guy now? Will he live and be Bridget's new boyfriend? Because if he's just going to end up dying too then I think he is getting too many scenes.

Who actually killed the actress? Was it her husband? So who killed the husband?

I am glad they are both gone. I think this has been the most unlikable cast of extra's/side plots ever.
