This. I also wondered if they had gotten new writers. What also bothered me about the actress was she really looked like one of Bridget's college age friends- wayy too young for him and that made Ray look much older.

Did you notice how they gave Ray two scenes in which he trades significant looks with gay men this last episode? Even a double take when he was in The Fist.

I'm hoping that was only because he realized that was the same guy on the Hollywood boardwalk that he gave the money to. I can't recall the other gay guy he gave a significant look to- there was so much as s banging and sucking going on, I found it hard (no pun here) to concentrate.

I get it that they didn't know what to do with Abby anymore but this depressing slog through her last days is a misstep IMO. As scorp said, she should have just left Ray for a few seasons. Maybe even get into some hard-boiled trouble of her own. What's next? A season of Micky shitting himself in bed while losing his mind to dementia?

I liked Terry telling off his young protege's father. That was satisfying. I wish we were getting more of the Terry story. His marriage and split from new wife seemed to be for no reason at all. What a huge waste of time. It easily could have not happened at all.

Has Terry and his wife split? I thought she just went on the wrestling tour. I was just glad she was gone.

You would think that Bridget would have matured by now. But she still behaves like a child. An ungrateful, idiot child. Her motivations are that certain type of selfish that wears the guise of caring about someone else. Like Bunchy, I want to like her but she just stays unsavory.

I agree with nubyan, Connor could fly off the face of the Earth for all I care. His character just gets worse. They should have made him the one wise member of the family that grew up into the guy that becomes the fixer within their family.

The Four Leaf story line is all that is left that I care about this season. I predict that Daryl will be forced to kill the actor in cold blood to save Micky. No more innocent Daryl (which is sad)

Oohhh, I didn't catch that it was the same guy. OK, that explains the lingering time spent showing the traded stare. Now it doesn't bother me.

@ nubyan- I do find Bunchy unsavory. The weird pedophilia arc for him, the masturbating in the gym while watching members work out, he just has a filthy aura about him. I liked that they started cleaning him up socially when they hooked him up with the wrestler chick. From the moment they met (minus the creepy voyeur wanking) Bunchy's character has gotten better. He has, for the most part, shed the unsavory characteristics and is now simply a complete idiot.

@scorp- Terry, not Bunchy. Terry married the cop chick. There was a row at the reception and Abby in all her wisdom told the bride that Terry slept with a hooker during their engagement. They split up and that's were that story went. Nowhere. Could have been left on the editing room floor.

Maybe Avi can show up in a cameo all cleaned up on Homeland.

I don't remember any masturbation while at the gym or while checking out the fighters. Bunchy is into women.

You have to remember that Bunchy received the worst of the sexual abuse and he wasn't all together there mentally.

The fact that he never became a sexual predator is a testament to his strength and his resolve to not go there.

I think Bunchy always thought of himself as broken and was afraid that he might be capable of hurting little boys. Didn't he meet a woman with a kid...a little boy?

He didn't even like for that kid to be affectionate with him in any way...even though he cared for him. He couldn't handle it and the relationship ended with the kid's mom as a result.

That was a while ago so I don't even know if I'm confusing myself with another show. But I seem to remember something like that.

It's not really clear, but it seems like a murder suicide, no? He killed her and then jumped off the balcony. They could also have been killed by Landry. But more than likely it was Susan Sarandon that got rid of them. Remember she has another thug besides Ray working for here. We have yet to see who this though. She had that guy make it look like a murder suicide and Ray will find out next episode. You know she's gonna get whacked. Ray is already on to her, remember the oscar, my friends.

Yep. They alluded to this. She payed to have at least the girl killed and maybe the husband too but that might have been a wrong place wrong time scenario for him. Details were lacking.
