Given that it is summer and also during a pandemic, I thought this could be a thread where we share ideas for outdoor activities. Some that I enjoy:
1.Roasing marshmallows over a fire pit

Stronger than any mountain cathedral
Truer than any tree ever grew
Deeper than any forest primeval
I am in love with you 🎶

Hey, how many times do you get to quote a song about a primeval forest? I do adore you, though.

Well, now I'm blushing.
Will you want to meet my Father?

Do you not read my posts?
We each have our own brownies.

Just so you know I only like the brownie in the center of the pan. None of those edge pieces for me. So you can save me that center brownie.
Will you tell me another story? I could give you a list of animals that I like for the main character.

I've told you before: a brownie pan by definition only contains one brownie.
I don't think you listen to me at all.
As far as stories go; do you think I make these up? "Tell me a story about a jackalope" and I'll just come up with something? (Besides, jackalopes are very secretive creatures; not at all like bandicoots.)

Perhaps "story" was not the appropriate term. In remembering your crawdad information (and YES I do listen to you) it was more of a documentary.
So rather than asking for the tale of "Boris, the blabbermouth bandicoot", I will ask that you please give me the factual lowdown on this lesser-known marsupial.

Back on track, some favourite outdoor activities are: playing street hockey, barbecues, relaxing at the beach, watching a baseball game.

Like I said: I enjoy a lounge chair, a beverage and a book. But without fail, whenever I start reading in public, somebody will want to talk to me.

Not always
Not when I'm trying to get someones attention. In a restaurant for instance, or if I want to change lanes on a highway. Then I might as well be invisible.

If you wear headphones while reading in public, even if you're not really listening to any music, I find people are less inclined to disturb you. Wear a pair of those huge wrap-over-the ears headphone so no one will be able to miss them. Has the added benefit of tuning out some of the ambient noise so you can concentrate more on your book.
