That might be the right actress/character, but what I remember reading was that the character was taken out to and then chased through some kind of forest or something, before being killed. Is that what happened to Adriana?

Yes, she was shot by Silvio (Steven Van Zandt).

What probably happened is that the place I was reading, misattributed Drea as playing Meadow. Sometimes just a missing comma can lead to that.
