Hi @bratface, there has been no change in site policies and we do not censor anything unless it’s against the community guidelines.
What makes you think something changed?
There was/is a thread on the GH board where the title of the thread was changed. It originally said something along the lines of 'David Muir should burn in hell'! Now it just says 'David Muir!'
The creator of the thread has said they didn't change it. They were upset that GH was interrupted by the news about drumpf's estate being raided.
Someone, yesterday, reported the OP for that OP. Upon examining it, and seeing the thread title was "Burn In Hell, David Muir!", indeed that obviously (as David Muir is a living actual person [a news anchor], not a fictional movie or TV character) legitimately is something that would be offensive to many to see, so was adjusted to leave out the words "Burn In Hell". As mentioned, someone HAD reported that OP. The originating post was/is entirely AOK. Only the title was too much. It violates the final portion of TMDb's Community Guidelines, wherein is stated, as being not alright, "Content that might be considered offensive...for the wide range of age groups within the TMDB user base."
When someone reports something, we always take a look and determine whether or not the content is OK to remain as is. We never mess with or delete posts or edit thread titles unless there is deemed to be warranted reason to do so.

So who decides what is offensive?

The mods. It's common sense reasonable judgement calls.

Good call. It would have been different if it had referred to a fictional character, not a real person, even if it was intended only as hyperbole.
