Question about IMDB link being not valid

I'm new to TMDB and looking for some additional guidance and/or clarification. I recently watched a short film on TCM and found it on IMDB but not other websites. The short film is Law of the Badlands from 1945 not to be confused with the 1951 film of the same name. The 1945 short has a different cast and director (Jack Scholl - director; starring Robert Shayne, Warren Douglas, and Angela Greene). I attempted to add the film on this site but kept getting an "IMDB not valid" error and don't know why that is happening. This short film is apparently a part of a movie shorts series and has the aka of Featurettes (1944-1945 season) #10: Law of the Badlands. I see other short films added to this website, but understand this one might be different because of it being a part of a series. I'm sure it was probably released in theaters to show in front of whatever feature length film was running at the time, so it seems like it - and probably the other Featurettes in this series - would be good candidates for addition on this site. Thoughts? Guidance? Thanks!

I just now checked about the 1945 movie you indicated and don't find any evidence of it having already been added to TMDb. However, because the 1951 film of the same title has a TMDb listing, there's a place in the wizard where that '51 film comes up listed as a possible match, then a place below it reads, "I don't see the item I'm trying to add, let's continue adding it!" If you check off that box, then proceed, you shouldn't have any problem adding the movie.
I just now did all the steps, through that point, and all looked fully well, and then the subsequent screen, during setup, came up for adding additional details. (I stopped at that point, so you can again do the wizard steps and add the movie.)
Incidentally, on the initial setup page, be sure you're adding the complete IMDb # - tt0037864 - with the "tt" immediately preceding it. In the event you didn't include the "tt" when you tried adding the movie, that near certainly is why you got the screen response that the IMDb link is invalid.

I now know exactly what I was doing - I kept putting the full URL for the IMDB entry instead of just the IMDB tag number. Thanks for the help! Got it added now and feel like I've contributed in a very small way. :)
