Item: Michael Dennis Johnson
Language: en
Type of Problem: Duplicate
Extra Details: Hi!
It seems someone went "trigger happy" when creating a profile for Michael Dennis Johnson :)
This one has a movie entry: https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1629903-michael-dennis-johnson
Bu then there are five empty entries created consequently:
https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1629902-michael-dennis-johnson https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1629904-michael-dennis-johnson https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1629905-michael-dennis-johnson https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1629906-michael-dennis-johnson https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1629907-michael-dennis-johnson
Please clean up/move the credit to the earliest entry as you see fit :)

Thanks for your report!
I took care of it and kept this entry:
https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1629902-michael-dennis-johnson
"trigger happy" is a great expression -> never heard/read before!

Haha, thanks!
On another, semi-related note, when the site sends out notification emails, you send this URL:
https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1629904-michael-dennis-johnson/discuss/5b7989cfc3a36860e60282cb?page=1 (example from the notification email from this thread)
That discussion page is no longer available after you've cleaned up the duplicates (at least not to non-mods), since that person page no longer exists (https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1629904-michael-dennis-johnson), and the user will only get a "Oops!—We can't find the page you're looking for" page when clicking the link in the email. This often happens when I report duplicates like this, and if the user doesn't know how to find their way back to the correct discussion page, you might not get a response from the user if you asked a follow-up question or something like that.
Instead, you should use this URL in the email: https://www.themoviedb.org/discuss/5b7989cfc3a36860e60282cb?page=1 (i.e. cut out the "/person/1629904-michael-dennis-johnson" part from the URL).
That will still send the user to the correct discussion page, regardless if a person-page (or some other kind of page) has been deleted during the lifespan of the report.
Thanks again, you're awesome!

Oh yes, I always forget this, because I don't get/read notification emails myself! And I haven't done many issue reports lately, so thanks for reminding me!
I think what I'm doing wrong in those cases is: I delete the duplicate that's attached to the report, and then I don't refresh the browser tab with the report before I respond. I assume that's the mistake I make and why you get the wrong url -> it's a bad habit of me. I'm going to try to keep this in mind for the future ...
Since the notification emails are sent automatically from the page that I have open in the tab of the browser, I think it's just my fault for being too absent-minded ...
