Yasmine, a high school student from Brunei, fed up with studying and her strict father, decides to learn silat, a martial art practiced in Southeast Asia, after a boy displays his own knowledge of silat in order to impress her.

Yasmine, an eighteen-year-old girl, visits her boyfriend whom she has not seen for two weeks but not everything is going as usual. The Tunisian revolution of January 14, 2011 made him understand the importance of political commitment. An argument broke out with her boyfriend. Back home, she caught her brother talking on the phone with their father who had stayed in Tunisia: he did not want his children to participate in the demonstration that would take place in the Republic. He opposes his authoritarianism to his son’s arguments…

In the second episode of the cycle we meet Yasmine, a young woman of Moroccan origin, who is living a solitary, obsessive existence in a derelict Georgian market hall in Plymouth, on the South coast of England. Her interior monologue is interrupted by the invasion of her private space by a young man. Is this the same young man, Ben, who narrates Episode 1?
