Reconnaissant, Sebastian Kadlec l'invite dans la villa luxueuse qu'il habite avec son père, un élu municipal affairiste, sa belle-mère et sa sœur aînée, Sara. 'Veterans', focuses on WW2 veterans, once fighters in the Red Army and now uprooted immigrants, fighting for their place in society. These people, who experienced the twentieth century's bloodiest war as Soviet soldiers, immigrated to Israel after the collapse of the Soviet Union and found themselves in a society that is totally indifferent to their glorious past. The film offers a close and compassionate look at the veterans' lives, fueled by complexity, pain, and an almost silent insult, alongside joy and self-deprecating humor. The feeling of living on borrowed time drives the veterans to embark on what may be their last adventure.

Interviews with five former American soldiers who were present at the March 16, 1968 attack on the village of My Lai during the Vietnam War; they discuss the orders that were issued leading up to the attack, their expectations of what they would find there, and the subsequent massacre of the inhabitants and destruction of the village, as well as possible motivations for the killings and rapes which took place.

Scene 1: The chorus issues a call to hear stories of Veterans and their resilience in recovery. They are joined by 5 individuals (Viet Nam Veteran and his wife; a Navy/VA Social worker; a second Viet Nam Veteran; and a VA psychiatrist).

Thirteen veterans are given an opportunity to reveal their experiences in Vietnam and to talk about the frustrations they have encountered upon returning home.

A black veteran returns to the United States, to find that the 'freedom' which he defended overseas does not apply for him at home. After a three-year search for steady employment, the veteran is pushed to taking the law in his own hands. When he attempts to steal car, the police are immediately at the scene, and the former was hero is killed instantly in the streets of America. –L. M. H.
