Tatsuo and his daughter Haru run Takano Tofu Store in Onomichi. They begin their work before dawn every day. They carefully select beans to make their tofu. While they have peaceful days, Tatsuo worries about his daughter being alone after his death.

Returning from vacation, the members of Eagle Talon discover their secret lair destroyed. The only clue may lie with the missing Professor Leonardo.

Natsuki has a scent fetish. On New Year's Eve, she is visited by Takano and confesses her feelings for him. When her close friend Misako turns up, Natsuki sniffs her hair and makes a discovery.

Mayor Iwakawa was voted into office in 1991, promising better welfare for senior citizens. As a result of his efforts to create a town with resident participation, while battling against anti-reform forces of the town council, Takanosu-machi becomes the best welfare town in Japan. In the nationwide local elections in 2003, however, Iwakawa, loses by a huge margin against the opposing candidate who promises the consolidation of local municipalities.

Aya Takano was born 1976 in Saitama, Japan. She is a Japanese pop artist associated with the Superflat movement.Influenced by both manga and American Science Fiction, her art typically depicts large-eyed female heroines, often partially or completely nude. Known for mostly her drawings and paintings, she usually works in ink and acrylics. Drawing has also been the base for other works such as 2004's Subterraned, a comic book like series, or in video, such as The World After 800,000,000 Years, in which small adventures usually take place.
