Six teenagers witness a cosmic event that grants them special powers. With these new abilities, each one discovers the worst and the best of himself, while a journalist and a mysterious woman pursue them with unclear ends.

The mysterious flying creatures known as Zai suddenly appear, and in order to fight the creatures, mankind creates fighter aircraft called "Daughters," as well as the automatic fighting mechanism "Anima," which are shaped like human girls. The story centers on a young man named Narutani Kei, who yearns to fly in the sky, and an Anima considered to be humanity's trump card, a girl name Guripen.

Jom is an architect responsible for the renovation of a historic house alongside the Ping River. There he discovers a wooden chest packed with old drawings, drawings that look strangely familiar. The contents are intriguing. However, Jom doesn't have time to concern himself with them; he must take a trip back to Bangkok to see his love. For years, Jom has been counting the days till his boyfriend would return from his far away studies, only to find him engaged to someone else.

Airwaves is a Canadian television dramedy which aired on CBC from 1986 to 1987. The Toronto-filmed show starred Roberta Maxwell as Jean Lipton, a radio talk show host and widowed mother, who lived with her daughter Zoe, played by Ingrid Veninger, and her father Bob, played by Roland Hewgill. Maxwell has indicated that Canadian journalist-activist June Callwood was a basis for her portrayal of Jean.
