尾田荣一郎，日本漫画家。从四岁起，尾田荣一郎就对漫画这个行业产生了浓厚的兴趣。上高中时，尾田荣一郎就开始了自己的漫画创作，为了磨练自己的画技，尾田在工作室先后为甲斐谷忍（《翠山警察故事》）、德弘正也（《不文泰山》）、和月伸宏（《浪客剑心》）这三位漫画家做过助理。这对尾田荣一郎的帮助很大，使他的画法融合了名家之长，形成了自己的风格。其创作的《海贼王》是继鸟山明的《龙珠》之后漫画史上又一部堪称热血旗帜的划时代作品。

Eiichiro Oda (Japanese: 尾田 栄一郎, Hepburn: Oda Eiichirō, born January 1, 1975) is a Japanese manga artist and the creator of the series One Piece. With more than 523.2 million tankōbon copies in circulation worldwide, One Piece is both the best-selling manga in history and the best-selling comic series printed in volume, in turn making Oda one of the best-selling fiction authors. The series' popularity resulted in Oda being named one of the manga artists that changed the history of manga.

Since November 7, 2004, Eiichiro Oda has been married to Chiaki Inaba (稲葉ちあき, Inaba Chiaki), a former model and actress whom he met in late 2003 during Jump Festa festival 2004. Oda and Inaba have had two daughters; the eldest was born in mid-2006 and the youngest in 2009.

Schon als Kind begeisterte sich Oda für Piraten und Wikinger und war ein großer Fan der Zeichentrickserie Wickie und die starken Männer. Er wollte schon als Kind Mangaka werden und liebte es, zu zeichnen. Mit 17 Jahren gewann er mit der Kurzgeschichte Wanted! den 44. Tezuka-Preis des Manga-Magazins Shōnen Jump. Im Alter von 19 Jahren beendete er die Schule und begann gemeinsam mit Hiroyuki Takei (Shaman King) als Assistent von Nobuhiro Watsuki an dem Manga Rurouni Kenshin zu arbeiten. In dieser Zeit zeichnete er Romance Dawn, eine Kurzgeschichte, auf der sein darauf folgendes Werk One Piece basiert. 1997 wurde One Piece erstmals im populären Magazin Shōnen Jump veröffentlicht. Der Manga verhalf ihm sowohl in Japan als auch in der restlichen Welt zum Durchbruch. Er war für dieses Werk zwischen 2000 und 2002 dreimal für den Osamu-Tezuka-Kulturpreis nominiert.

Sein großes Vorbild ist der erfolgreiche Mangaka Akira Toriyama, dessen Stil ihn beeinflusst hat.
