I can’t spot an SM toy in the vid. Maybe that’s a clue? Maybe the director is holding an SM toy. LOL

As we wrap production on @shazammovie, there are so many people that need to be thanked. Our cast and crew, through and through, were legit ninja warriors who battled one helluva winter, and made something so magical in the process. Thank you, Toronto, for being such a gracious and entertaining host to our #Shazamily. On behalf of the entire production, here’s a little something we’d like to leave with y’all for being so good to us...

Jackson's not only great at exploring mythology, but also at world building.

The reported take that WB has for the first movie is a team-up between Hal Jordan and John Stewart,

Jackson once again proved his ability to handle a large cast of diverse characters and creatures with Lord of the Rings,

The characters, world-building, and mythos are all major keys to getting Green Lantern Corps right, but its also worth pointing out Jackson's history with CGI.

Being prepared to tackle such a vast, fully visualized world is one of his specialties, and his Lord of the Rings experience more than prepared him for that.

The Justice League joke was made during an interaction between Sandberg and Epic Pictures Director of Distribution Rob Galluzzo. The tweets have since been removed but luckily Reddit user TheAdventurousWriter posted a screenshot

The joke from the Justice League has often been derided as an unfunny attempt at humor that was clearly the work of Joss Whedon, though that has not been confirmed. That may be the reason why the Tweets were taken down. Still, it doesn’t seem like Sandberg’s intention was to insult the film.

One element does stand out straight away, though, and it's a subtle detail that ties the narrative threads of the DCEU together. This costume is clearly evocative of Superman's.

This up-close look suggests there won't be a problem, though. There is indeed an aesthetic link between Shazam! and the rest of the DCEU, it's just a more subtle one - and it was never going to be revealed through leaked set photos. Look closely at the costume, and you'll see a detailed embossing pattern, one that's clearly reminiscent of the Kryptonian script on Henry Cavill's costume in Man of Steel.

There are actually some theories that Billy Batson has already made his DCEU debut; that he was the child "interviewing" Superman in Justice League. Meanwhile, there are strong rumors that Henry Cavill may actually cameo in Shazam!, perhaps showing how Superman left such an impression on Billy, or even giving the Man of Steel an opportunity to give the hero he's inspired a thumbs up.
