Alice Maud Krige (Upington, Sud-àfrica, 28 de juny de 1954) és una actriu i productora sud-africana.

Alice Maud Krige is a South African actress and producer. Her first feature film role was as the Gilbert and Sullivan singer Sybil Gordon in the 1981 Academy Award-winning film Chariots of Fire. Since then, she has played a variety of roles in a number of genres. Krige first played the role of the Borg Queen in the motion picture Star Trek: First Contact and reprised the role for the final episode of the television series Star Trek: Voyager. A year after the series ended, she reprised the role in "Borg Invasion 4-D" at Star Trek: The Experience.

She attended Rhodes University in Grahamstown where she pursued an undergraduate degree in psychology and literature, but quickly turned to acting, earning an honors degree in drama from Rhodes, before a moving to London to pursue a new career path. Once in England, she studied drama at the London Central School of Speech and Drama before making her acting performance debut in the 1979 BBC Play for Today.  

After achieving critical acclaim for her role in Chariot's of Fire, and continued to star and support in both film and stage theater throughout the 1980s.  This eclectic trend continued into the 1990s before turning to television for both starring and reoccurring minor roles in prominent television series.  In addition, she continued to make sporadic convention appearances and was recently awarded an honorary doctorate in literature from Rhodes University. Alice Krige is married to writer/director, Paul Schoolman, and lives what she describes as an "itinerant" lifestyle. Although she and her husband maintain a permanent home in the United States, they spend much of their time living and working abroad.

Fille d'un couple de médecins, Alice Krige passe son enfance à Port Elizabeth. Elle part pour l'Angleterre en 1976 afin d'y étudier la psychologie clinique, mais après des débuts dans une troupe de théâtre universitaire décide de s'inscrire à la Central School of Speech and Drama de Londres.

Elle apparaît la première fois à la télévision Britannique en 1979, dans une adaptation d'Un Conte de deux villes de Charles Dickens. Elle accède à une reconnaissance internationale en 1981 avec le rôle de Sybil Gordon dans Les Chariots de feu et celui d'Eva Galli/Alma Mobley dans Le Fantôme de Milburn.

Cette même année 1981, elle est couronnée aux Laurence Olivier Awards en tant que meilleure révélation dans un premier rôle, pour sa performance dans une pièce de George Bernard Shaw, Le Héros et le Soldat. Cette récompense entraîne son admission à la Royal Shakespeare Company.

Alice Krige interprète Bethsabée dans Le Roi David (1985) et Mary Shelley dans Un été en enfer (1988). Au théâtre, elle interprète la Venise sauvée de Thomas Otway.

Son interprétation de la reine des Borg, qui veut rallier la Terre au Collectif dans Star Trek : Premier Contact (1996), lui vaut le prix Saturn du meilleur second rôle en 1997. C'est le début d'une série de participations dans des films de science-fiction, notamment dans l'univers de la série Star Trek : Star Trek: Armada II (2001), Star Trek: Voyager (2001), ou encore dans le feuilleton TV Les Enfants de Dune (2003).

L'université Rhodes lui attribue un doctorat honoris causa ès lettres en avril 2004.

Alice Krige urodziła się i wychowała w Afryce Południowej, studiowała psychologię na uniwersytecie w Rodezji, później przeniosła się do The Central School of Speech and Drama, gdzie studiowała aktorstwo. Wzięła udział w produkcjach biblijnych; "Król Dawid" /King David/ (1985) australijskiego reżysera Bruce'a Beresforda w roli Batszeby, żony Dawida i matki Salomona, oraz jako Rachel w telefilmie "Józef"(1995) Rogera Younga. Jest laureatką nagrody na festiwalu filmowym w Rzymie w 1992 roku za postać Mary Brady, w horrorze na podstawie książki Stephena Kinga "Lunatycy"(1992). Natomiast za rolę królowej Borg w filmie "Star Trek: First Contact"(1996, video: "Star Trek: Pierwszy kontakt") Jonathana Frakesa odebrała nagrodę Saturna.
