I always hear people hootin' and hailing about Day of the Dead like it is the best Romero zombie movie or even best zombie movie period. For me personally, the film has practically zero rewatchability. The plot is dull and you don't have the scary tension you had with the previous films that they created with the zombies about to get you until the end. On the other hand, the effects were remarkable. A vast improvement over Dawn of the Dead even though Dawn had a better story for sure. Plus I hate films that is chock full of dumb ass moments. Its weak story telling. The whole thing with Bub and Frankenstein trying to train the zeds seemed like a colossal waste of time. I think Sarah should have ratted him out to Rhodes even though Rhodes was a complete power tripping asshole.
