As an adult I can appreciate the humor of Annie Hall. As a child I HATED the movie. Because it became an Oscar contender, my parents decided to take my sister and I to see it instead of another showing of Star Wars. I never forgave them. (And because the subject matter became somewhat adult midway through the movie, we walked out!)
