The subject wasn't about whether Sean Connery was the best Bond or not, it was about whether Thunderball was his worst movie. I liked it, but the underwater sequences did go on longer than some people thought they should have.

Thunderball is one of Connery's best Bond efforts: the score, locations, action, casting, and cinematography are top notch. (FRWL narrowly beats it.)

I assume the people who detest the underwater sequences do not realize how groundbreaking and time-consuming these scenes were to produce. The final product is amazing, too.

If we're discussing Sir Sean's worst Bond outing - Never say Thunderball again.

Yes NEVER SAY NEVER and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER were both much worse. NEVER was practically the same movie, only with more seriousness, less action and felt a lot more slow-going to me (even with less underwater scenes).

My personal favorites, best to worst of the Connery films: From Russia with Love - best thriller of the bunch Dr. No - I love beaches, what can I say? Goldfinger - classic Bond Thunderball - felt a little long to me You Only Live Twice - I hated the fake rocket effects Never Say Never Again - I enjoyed it Diamonds are Forever - I used to like the cheesiness when I was a kid

Sorry, I can't agree. Thunderball was and is a solid Bond movie. It has some of the best '60's vibe of any of the Bond movies and I swear it and Dr. No exerted a heavy influence on design of my favorite Pixar movie, The Incredibles. (From what I understand, this connection is more obvious in the sequel.) Of the Connery movies, while none sink to the depths of some of the Moore or even Brosnan films, I still contend that Never Say Never Again is by far the worst Connery Bond movie.

Don’t get me wrong, I happen to like Thunderball. I just liked the first 3 Bonds better. Diamonds are Forever was fun for me as a kid because I thought the two henchmen were so cute and funny. And Bambi and Thumper! And Jimmy Dean burgers! It was until I was a but older that I realized the true nature of the henchmen.

This is an aside, but BY FAR, my favorite Bond film is OHMSS. Diana Rigg, the penultimate Avenger, nuff said.

Sink to the depths? I have no idea what you cretins have against proper action packed, stunt laden, Bond films with personality which is exactly what Brosnan's and Moore's films were. Especially Brosnan's... I know a garbage Bond film when I see one and I haven't with the exception of never say never again ever seen one. As I said when it comes to judging Bond films... you morons haven't a clue. The fact that you didn't involve never say never, quantum of solace and spectre in your autistic rant says it all really.
