Mongo's posts throughout this whole site say so and I'm not going to " fight with others (over reality)" either.
As tempting as it may be sometimes to do it, name-calling somebody just generally succeeds in making them nervous and isn't really constructive behavior.
This thread is a hot mess, btw. But I really enjoyed the film. I felt they didn't stick the ending (way to clean, almost Scooby-Doo level wrap up) but a GREAT lead performance and some very tense moments. A dark comic thriller not to be taken as reality IMO. Also, Alfred Molina's scene is just fantastic!

It wasn't the worst thing in the world but it wasn't anything special either. The problem is the "all men bad" narrative. It's just a huge turn off given how often every other movie with a female lead these days boils down to "all men are trash". I'm black and I get enough of this shit in Tyler Perry movies or Color Purple type movies.
Yes there are some very shitty men, there are entire horror movie genres dedicated to women getting revenge on shitty men, but I know several men who were falsely accused of rape/abuse for child custody/money and only through text messages or recordings were they exonerated. Flip the genders and no one would care about this movie if it were a guy getting revenge on an Amber Heard or Jodi Arias or Nikki Yovino.
So yeah, not the worst movie ever, but far too mediocre for me to ignore the fact it's just another "men are bad" hatefest.
Well she did specifically go after men that were going to assault her, or did in fact commit a crime. And she went after at least two woman too. It's just a revenge flick black comedy focusing mostly on college bros. but like I said in a broad comic way. If this was a Death Wish type serious film then I think your thoughtful criticism may convince me. Nothing wrong with revenge flicks. I mean you could go after Death Wish for only going after only bad men too! Have a great morning. If I had issues with folks falsely accused in my life, I'd avoid all revenge judge-and-jury films.

It's been a while since I've seen this, but doesn't she have a little notebook where she tallies up all her encounters in multi-colored ink and it's pages and pages of numbers? And yes, I did not she went after women too which was a nice attempt a balance, but I knew immediately that the "nice guy" she gets with would turn out to be evil because all men are evil in these movies.
I also get it's supposed to be a black comedy but I don't remember laughing at all except maybe at the ending where she dies because I wasn't expecting that at all. It would have been funny if she tries her MO on a slobby neckbeard and instead of taking advantage of her he tucks her and sleeps on the couch and makes her breakfast the next morning, and then she's upset he DIDN'T try to take advantage of her because really this is about her getting off on making men piss their pants. I get the sense she was kind of addicted to the power trip anyway but it didn't seem fully realized.
But ultimately it's hard for me to laugh at this kind of stuff. It's like how Netflix put out that Cuties movie which was, I assume, intended to be a fun comedy but it's about underaged girls twerking.

That would be a different movie. It is what it is and as with all movies, requires some suspension of disbelief.

It's actually considered to be a drama about "a free-spirited dance crew," hahaha. Awful.

It's a movie, bro. Movies tend to be "dumb."
