Discuss Batman & Robin

What are the ten worst films you've ever seen? Or at least that you can think of. Seen as you've probably erased many from your memory.

Here's mine...

  1. Tusk
  2. The 13th Warrior
  3. The Avengers (The 90s's Uma Thurman, Ralph Fiennes one)
  4. The Human Centipede 3
  5. Blues Brothers 2000
  6. Batman and Robin
  7. The Spirit
  8. Van Helsing
  9. The Sweetest Thing
  10. Battlefield: Earth

Ok, your go!

Honestly, I find it almost impossible to make all-time worst lists - when I was younger I saw a lot of dreck (this explains why the majority of my lowest-rated films are from the 1980s) and it's difficult to sift through and pick out the 'worst'. Most of them, as you suggest, I have at least partially forgotten.

This list would no doubt change if I made it again tomorrow, but I'll give it a try...

  • Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968)
  • Santa Claus (1985)
  • Wizards of the Lost Kingdom (1985)
  • Short Circuit (1986)
  • The Fly II (1989)
  • Bullseye! (1990)
  • Highlander II: The Quickening (1991)
  • The Passion of the Christ (2004)
  • The Producers (2005)
  • Our Sister Mambo (2015)

I could easily add twenty or more but here ya go:

  1. Ghostbusters (2016)
  2. Highlander II: The Quickening
  3. Batman & Robin
  4. The Avengers (1998)
  5. The Howling II
  6. The Phantom Menace
  7. Robocop 2
  8. First Knight
  9. Wild Wild West
  10. Catwoman

I thought of including The Phantom Menace in my list but I've given it enough shit. I thought I'd give it a break.

Is it wrong that I quite liked The Fly 2? Or at least the last half hour. It's not a patch on the first film, but I saw it as kind of a silly, gory monster B-movie. The final moments were a memory that really resonated with me when I was a kid and haunted me. It was really dark and disturbing that the main bad guy, the big corporate head, had been turned into a fucked up monstrosity and was being kept alive in the bowels of the lab.

Even if the rest of the film sucks, I still think that was an inventively great way to end it.

Just going off my ratings on here and therefore only films I've actually seen rather than avoided:-

  1. Mamma Mia
  2. Suicide Squad
  3. Cabin Fever
  4. Stranger Than Fiction
  5. Seven Pounds
  6. Godfather Part 3
  7. Skyfall
  8. Spiderman 3
  9. Open Water 2 - Adrift
  10. The Hunger Games

I also liked the Fly 2. The scene involving the dog really got to me emotionally.

I agree. This is really a tough list to make. Considering the sheer number of movies I've seen in my lifetime, ranking the worst of the worst is formidable.

But, I'll give it a try. These movies are utter trash, with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Buckle up!

  • Battlefield: Earth
  • Millenium
  • Jaws 3-D
  • Stop! Or my Mom Will Shoot!
  • Gigli
  • Catwoman
  • It's Pat!
  • Freddie Got Fingered
  • Jack and Jill
  • The Love Guru

Man, that was tough! This list is always subject to change since I'm probably forgetting quite a few movies.

Ooof! Now that was a noble attempt at putting together a truly godawful list. The previous ones on this thread I was like, "Watch movies much?" but yours, yours i cannot find fault in. Good job sir. thumbsup_tone3

To be fair. Films like Jack and Jill and The Love Guru I won't even risk subjecting my eyeballs to. I think everyone learned their lesson about 15 Adam Sandler movies ago.

Perhaps The Dark Sithlord should be commended for his courage and stoic tenacity for siting through such vileness.

And some movies are so notoriously bad that you watch them for the sake of laughing at how bad they are. Battlefield: Earth is a film I went into knowing that it was bad and thought I would get a good chuckle out of it but it turned out to just be bad not REAL bad. But Mystery Science Theater 3000 was the absolute best source if you wanted to get the scoop of some really bad movies to laugh at.

HahA! Thanks! I must admit, a couple of those movies were so bad, I couldn't filnish watching them, which is something I rarely do. Maybe they had great endings, but somehow, I doubt it.

Thanks! But if you ask my wife, it's not courage or stoic tenacity. It's more like stupidity. But I like courage and stoic tenacity better.

Well, they wouldn't have made you Dark Sithlord for nothing.

You lot are tough! Some of those I actually enjoyed. I do feel that the Fiennes/Thurman "Avengers" in particular is nowhere near as bad as people make out.

The only one I've seen and agree should be on a "worst films ever" list is "Wizards of the Lost Kingdom". It's so bad I've seen it twice - I'd obviously managed to erase the first viewing from my mind!

The only two films I've given the lowest possible rating to are:

  • Frost: Portrait of a Vampire

  • Darklight

These...

1) Sister Act

2) AvP: Requiem

3) Zombie Lake

4) Jaws: The Revenge

5) Another 48hrs

6) Rush Hour

7) Street Trash

8) New Jack City

9) Police Academy (5,6,7)

10) Blade Trinity

... because they're all dog shit.
