This has been airing on PBS Kids during recent days, which is where I caught it. I'd never normally be watching anything on PBS Kids, but noticed this in the online TV Guide nightly listings, thought it sounded like maybe of interest for its partially holiday-themed content, so decided to watch for that reason.

Wow: What a wonderful, thoughtful animated short film! This is very well done, high in appeal, and is definitely a film I can picture kids of today fondly remembering long after they've grown up, decades into adulthood. This is beautifully and sweetly done and a quality production. I had no idea that anything of this standard (or that would appeal to adults) ever airs on PBS Kids, though now that I've seen this on there I'll hereafter keep closer eye on that channel's daily listings. Hopefully this will pop back up on t.v. annually.
