Anyone able to do the honours? I need an interpreter! Seems like there's a lot of political commentary (Baader-Meinhoff), a lot of allegory to the brutality and bloodshed of war - 'we need guilt and shame' - and then also just some straight up witchcraft folklore. Interesting that the word 'volk' (the dance) translates to 'people', too, but what does it mean?!

I had a mixed response to this. There were moments when it was absolutely riveting and felt masterful in its delivery, but mostly I felt like I was growing impatient waiting for something. My girlfriend hated it, and I can sympathise with that, though I feel like there was so much going on (too much?), it mainly just needed to be clearer, more concise and tighter in general.
