Star-Lord's ridiculous tantrum and the overbearing score were the spit in the face I needed to realise that I don't like these movies. I went through the MCU and saw that I've only rated about a third of them as decent or good. That's a lot of mediocrity and garbage that I've wasted my time on. Well, it stops here. I'm not going to let you spit on me anymore, Disney. 👋
Compare this movie to Mad Max: Fury Road. It's very obvious which is the better movie. It's not this one ... I saw a trailer for an action movie from the 1980s today, and everything about that two-minute clip felt so much more real and impressive than anything in Avengers: Infinite Greenscreen. This capeshit is killing the art of cinema.

Oh Damien. Such an angry young man. Funny (sometimes) but angry just the same. Don't worry, some day you'll meet a nice girl, get married, raise a bunch of little Damienracers, and you'll forget all about this chapter of your life.

Damien. You do realize that I get a notification every time someone responds to my posts, right? So i check out the thread, and low & behold: there you are. I'm not stalking you. But, at the same time, I can't resist having a little fun with you. You make it so easy. In fact, I saw a few posters on the "Last Jedi" boards that could use some of your verbal smackdown.

You can blame Dr Strange for everything, it's all his fault!

I agree. These are no longer movies anymore. Just episodes of a CGI cartoon series... That's ok, but it's not for me.

Don't get me wrong, I love Fury Road. However, except for my geek friends, most people I know (family and friends) can't sit through Fury Road without moving on to something else. The lack of dialogue in it makes it so they can't keep their attention glued to it. I've tried to tell them how great Fury Road is and tried to show it to them several times, but gave up after they just started getting irritated by it. So yeah...great movie I guess.

@Innovator I think movies like Fury Road don't work well outside of the theatre with current audiences. They don't have the attention span to let the movie wash over them and to be immersed...
People watch a lot more TV now and even most movies today resemble TV in it's focus on exposition, dialogue, incident and how these shows are cinstantly dispensing information and plot... They're no longer used to sitting still and having a movie create an atmosphere or a mood...
The moment there is no dialogue, people's attention wanders as most movies today and all TV shows convey everything through talking... They are made for distracted people on mobile phones... You can listen to an entire series of any 'top' TV show without looking at the screen and you won't miss anything, furthermore, you will realise that the dialogue is almost constant... Most average movies are like this as well...
There are exceptions, for example Dunkirk barely has dialogue for the first 20 minutes... Just some shouting by soldiers to one another... BladeRunner 2049 spends a lot of time simply allowing the audience to reflect on the themes and events of the movie, etc...
I watched The Revenant with some friends recently and apart from the big action scenes, they were constantly checking their phones... They missed out on all of the beauty...
In cinema, there are no distractions... People allow themselved to fall into the movie more easily...

Aaaannnd, there's Doucheracer, right on cue. Ren is obviously someone who enjoys the art of cinema. I've known my share of pseudo-intellectual, pretentious film snobs. Ren hardly qualifies. You, on the other hand, continue to sound like a 13 year old brat with no friends. Now, don't start with your "stalker" bullshit. If you can't handle a little backlash, than maybe you shouldn't make such inflammatory posts. P.S. what does Trump have to do with anything. That insecure, small-handed, pea-brained, orange buffoon probably only watches war movies, so he'll have something to masturbate to.

What's wrong? Did I touch a nerve when I insulted your orange fuhrer?
Push you. I believe that with a little coaxing and some refinement of your skills, you can be a real troll someday.

I KNOW. I know you love the attention. That's why I do it. The people you lambaste won't push-back, so I do it for them. Then again, they probably have you on "ignore." You like to bust people's balls, I like to bust yours.

Yup.
Bottom line though, it's boredom more than anything else. There are some good discussions here, but I really miss IMDB. I mean, when I go to the Sicario board (yes, I just now got around to seeing that, sue me) and there are only 4 discussions it just makes me shake my head.
