Discuss Avengers: Endgame

SPOILERS Why didn't they travel in time to kill Thanos, ages before. Like eg. Thor bloodthirstily axe his head off long long before he did nasty things.

They could have, but it wouldn't have changed their timeline - only created a new one where Thanos didn't get to do his thing. When they returned to their own present, nothing would have changed for them.

He didn't change his past; he created a new timeline where he and Peggy got to live out their lives together.

I don't believe he created a new timeline. He was his present self in the past. Essentially there were two Caps in the timeline - his past one and his present one (except his past one was still frozen).

No, they did not "get the stones before Thanos could", there was even a fairly lengthy discussion about why that wouldn't work, and they returned the stones to where they found them in order to ensure that Thanos WOULD get them.

Except he will not get them because past Thanos dies in the future so how exactly is he going to find them and do the initial snap if he is dead? Movie makes no sense.

It is true, to people who are retarded and who dont pay attention to the movie, it makes sense. To those who do pay attention it makes complete sense.

Doubt that. Please enlighten me how is this not a time travel paradox.

Yes to the bolded bit; disagree about the first. If he was in "his own" timeline, when he met old Peggy she wouldn't have had kids by someone else and he's not the sort of guy to not try to do good - which would have put him on SHIELD and HYDRA's radars . I like to think that (because he's the Cap) he found a timeline where Peggy was free and he died in the crash into the sea so that he wouldn't be affecting the potential for happiness of that timeline's Peggy or Steve.

In other words the plot makes no sense but hey who cares? It's Marvel so we have to eat it up no matter how shitty it is. Yeah no thank you.

Frankly i think its only matter time Before they run out of steam. They already got rid of two staple character of the MCU and the last couple of Solo Hero movies haven't been that great. Captain Marvel and Black Panther bored the Sh!t out of me and these characters that suppose replace Tony and Steve. You know the Fox's X-men has been hit and miss from the beginning. But when they had a hit. It was one hell of a hit. I doubt if Disney owned X-men from the beginning that we would ever had a Deadpool movie or Rated-R Logan movie. Hell once Disney bought Marvel. All the street level Rated R Hero got shipped off to Netflix to be turned into boring melodramas. Point is Fox took risks. Disney almost never dose. The only thing that really compensate for that is some really talented directors. But im not looking forward to Disney water down X-Men. Like they Water Down Spider-man. Hes so water down he doesn't remember he had an Uncle.

YOUR OPINION MATTERS NOT.

You are such a complete moron!

It is true that the MCU hasn't gone into Spider-Man's origins, do you know why this is? Because EVERYONE knows Spider-Man's origin, and there have been two movies in the last 15 years that go into it. Marvel is smart enough to know that no one wants to rehash Spider-Man's origin for the 15th time, so they skipped it. In fact, in Civil War, they made a joke out of it, Tony asks Peter 'how did you become Spider-Man, who is your motivation for being a hero?' and when Peter starts to answer, Tony cuts him off 'forget I asked, I don't care.' I saw Civil War on opening night and at the line, the audience first laughed hysterically and then applauded, NO ONE wanted to go through 'the Spider-Man origin' bullshit again, and everyone was so relieved that we wouldn't have to.

PERFECTLY STATED.AGREED.

They don't have to do the origins again. But they could at least knowledge that he existed. They mention him for 2 seconds in Civil War and that it. Uncle Ben is suppose the be the force to drives Peter Parker to do what he dose. But instead hes just sucking up to Tony all the time. I mean I like the chemistry between those two characters. But still. That scene in Homecoming where peter is trapped under that beam. I kept on thinking. This is would been more emotional if it was something Uncle Ben told him (it dosn't have the be that responsibility thing). Instead of Tony's Peep Talk we listen to 30 minutes ago. Sometimes i think these new Spider-man movies don't want any emotional impact all.

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE SOME "UNCLE ISSUES."
