I haven't seen it yet, but if it's nominated for anything other than technical stuff I will spend the week dressed as Wonder Woman myself.

This is the sort of film the academy pretends doesn't exist.

Best Director and Best Actress? Um, no and no. With all due respect to Gal Gadot, she is not in the top 5 best performances of the year. I think she would be the first to admit that.

This movie would only be considered for technical awards: Best Special Effects, Best Sound, maybe Best Costumes.

I don't know, in another year I wouldn't have given wonder woman's oscar chances a second thought, but at this point in time I think Hollywood will try to send a message about female empowerment... Over-nominating Wonder Woman seems like the least subtle way to do it, so I'm betting that that's what they'll do ;)

Maybe Best Costumes and Sound design...maybe. But thats about it. I really want to see Blade Runner and Wind River win something. Also IT for make up would be great and well deserved.

Frankly if Wonder Woman even gets nominated for best picture and Logan doesn't. Than Its time to boycott hollywood. I mean for real this time.

I wouldn't say no CBM, as Big Hero 6 won Best Animated Feature Film. For animated films that is its Best Film category.

You guys must be new to the game. The Oscars are a friggin' joke. It's all inside politics, schmoozing, and inside favors. It lost its purity long ago.

That being said, it is right to ignore the snoozefest comic book films. They are mostly formulaic and nothing special.
