Shouldn't Lando have tried to warn Hans before he came to cloud city?

I mean he thought going against the empire was a suicide. But why Di dnt he try warning them before they reached cloud city?

He didn't know Han was arriving until it was too late. He was busy replacing the batteries in Lobot's headphones.

The cloud cars trying to keep Han from landing were a warning, before the Empire gave new orders for them to land. Seems like Lando had plenty of opportunity to whisper something in his ear, though.

Lando felt responsible for the entire city. He didn't want to burn Han, but he did what he though he had to in order to protect the city.

I'm pretty sure Vader's deal was contingent on Han & Leia's capture. If they never show - regardless whether Vader knows it's Lando's doing or not - the empire has no reason not to take over Cloud City.
