Look in the current social political climate Disney is not going to fire Kennedy because the outcry it will cause on Social (Justice) Media and Kennedy is still the most powerful woman in Hollywood. Disney will let her head her branch of Lucasfilm and over time will lessen her grip on the franchise by giving more power to Favreau,Filoni and Feige(in the background ).This currently is already happening and is causing which some rumors call in inhouse civil war between the Kennedy & the SJW team at Lucasfilm and the Triple F's side.The Favreau camp is trying to make the Star Wars fans love and since The Mandalorian received the approval of most fans(certainly after the massive outcry of fans for support of Favreau and Co after Luke Skywalker's appearance in last season's finale) and contributed to Disney+ doing so well the Favreau camp has the backing of Disney CEO Bob Iger and they have been given carte blanche for making new Disney Star Wars content much to the anger and dissatisfaction of camp Kennedy /Lucasfilm.The folks of the Kennedy camp have been desperately trying to undermine the success of The Mandalorian by having their pr department started an outcry for the firing of Gina Carona for various silly reasons because she won't submit to the will of the Twitter mob .And recently we had the attack of Pablo Hidalgo(who works for Lucasfilm) making fun of the most popular Star Wars Youtuber called Star Wars Theory ,for crying on a reaction video when his childhood hero Luke appeared on The Mandalorian and got called back by Disney and both the Favreau camp and Mark Hamill thanking the fans on social media for the positive reactions to Luke's appearance.So instead of discrediting fans the whole thing backfired and it united fans more than anything else with former Youtubers and fans who hadn't spoken with each other for a long time because of differences of opinion on Star Wars and the whole media coverage that followed totally overshadowed the announcements of The High Republic stuff by the Kenny/Lucasfilm camp.In th end Kennedy and her minions will be sidelined the minor projects and Kennedy eventually leading some production company making her small SJW approved projects but Disney will focus more and more on the projects from the Favreau/Filoni/Feige camp because they want to earn money after all.
