The biggest blunder in the new trilogy, and believe you me there are plenty, is the fact that the morons did not have the foresight to write out a story/script that was to be cohesively told throughout all three films. Whose ever idea it was to individualize each film with its own story/script should be fired, immediately. Anyone who doesn't see a problem with this doesn't know the first thing about storytelling and belongs nowhere near a Hollywood studio.

The ending reeks of Disney's attempt to keep the Star Wars movie's indefinitely..it was always the intention...Disney wants to keep printing its own money....but the fans have spoken, Solo's B.O. suffered as a result of it and now Lucasfilm is shaking things up.
be good if SW takes a break for a few years...and dump the stupid solo movie ideas (do we really need a Bobba Fett movie?) but highly doubt it.

Especially since they are barely breaking even now. They are going to churn until they double their investment at the very least. I am of the mind that it actually is possible to churn out a SW every two or three years IF the writing is there and right now it clearly is not. These people do not have a clue what originality is at all . The story doesn't have to be about big evil vs. little light. Johnson thinks he is being original simply by subverting expectations which is just lazy writing. No magic whatsoever.
