Come on Folks. This movie is already an All-Time classic and aged so well. It blew everybody away and was a force of nature nobody saw coming back in 2001.
Acting, directing, story and so much afford in details... this movie needs to get above 9.
I don´t give a 10 easily. But this one deserves it!

Agreed. I think it is a masterpiece and brought the book to life whilst keeping the story line fairly succinct. And the casting...a1!

The movie that really triggered my love for films. I still remember my 11 year old self in awe watching it for the first time. I've never been the same since. Solid 10 for me. It never gets old.

Yes I own the extended version set and never tire of these films. The whole Weta group did an amazing job to bring this fantasy world to life. It's my son and I's favorite films.
On the other hand I was hoping the same for The Hobbit but there was to much bloat and unnecessary characters. I was hoping for a single long film or 2 regular length ones. I just watched a 4.5 fan edit and it felt like Bilbo's story from the book.

This is a for me! Shame I was not able to watch in the theaters...thought it was super complicated fantasy & my brain could only handle Harry Potter haha! Only became a fan around 2009 when someone lent me the Extended DVD of the trilogy...didn't leave the house that day & ordered pizza lol. Annual tradition ever since!

Not to make you feel worse, but oh wow in theaters it was a dream that sucked you in. I've never been to such a long movie and thought, no, more please, don't stop!

It's really great, but Return of The King is the only one deserving 10 from the entire series.

They all get 10s from me. There's nothing quite like it out there. Everytime i watch them I'm blown away by the amount of effort and detail put into each frame.

hahaha! yeah I only saw The Hobbit trilogy in the theaters...could work as one long movie, not 3. Can still make a film about middle earth like the time of Sauron or something. Or hope I find a theater that will run LOTR for that big screen experience.
And same, all 10 from me - don't consider them separately haha!

Exactly! The Lord of the Rings is basically just one incredibly long movie.
