Yes, he is tremendously effective as Don Logan. What I admire about his performance is that he is not afraid to make Don, while certainly scary and intimidating, somewhat pathetic and ridiculous too. He plays him as a spoilt child constantly on the verge of a tantrum and mines some dark laughs without mugging at all. I'm not always a fan of performances which are essentially a lot of yelling, but Kingsley is great here.

I could not agree more! He made this movie...and this movie changed how I feel about him as an actor. This is one of my all-time fav's!
